The LC cafe 老朱餐廳

The food and service were excellent. Each dish came in generous portions, definitely worth the price. The cafe also had a lovely ambiance, making it a pleasant place to enjoy a meal. We ordered three dishes, and each came with a drink of our choice, all of which tasted fantastic. Will visit again 😆

Had the steak on iron plate last week. It came with their soup, salad and drink. The soup I got was a bit sweet at this place, salad just spring mix with one tomato and very little dressing. The steak sauce lack flavour but there salt on the table. Overall, just okay la. It’s pretty busy here, it feels fancy. I would like to come back and try other items some other time.

he restaurant has a great atmosphere, with simple and bright decor. The steak was delicious, , and the meat was tender and flavorful. The presentation of the dishes was also very impressive. Overall, a very enjoyable brunch experience!

Good Hong Kong style restaurant. Good and silky milk tea. A slightly better quality food at a much higher price. The portion is quite small, actually. Staff are nice. The deco is still new and stylish.

Came here on a holiday night for dinner and got seated right away. There aren’t many two seaters that seemed comfortable, they reserve the sofa seats for bigger parties it seems. Otherwise, the decor inside is very elegant and has the upscale vibe which is on par with the pricing and quality of the food they serve. I personally loved the lobster bisque Arborio rice. They serve it separately with the bisque and they pour half of it in the rice for you and leave you the rest of the bisque to drink on its own! Extremely filling as good portion size. The chicken steak with black pepper sauce was also very savoury and flavourful, the pepper taste is extremely strong and we loved it as well. Cash or debit only. Definitely coming back for afternoon tea and their desserts 🤤

Food is excellent. Service is great. Atmosphere is very loud, with hard walls that reflect everyone's chatter. It's as loud as a busy restaurant during dim sum. Other than the very loud dining room, it's beautifully designed and laid out. We ordered the Thai basil shrimp spaghetti, lobster bisque with rice, and the white wine clams to start. The food is on par with any good Western restaurant such as Joey or Earl. The chef is definitely classically trained. I will be returning to eat through their menu. It's nice to know there are high quality Hong Kong cafes in GTA.

I always wanted to try this place when I passed by but it doesn't open until close to lunch. We arrived at around 430 pm today just in time to get their $10 cash only afternoon tea promotion. We didn't know about it ahead of time so we just shared one dish as we were low on cash. The fried chicken people ordered looked so good but we went with the beef ho fun so we wouldn't get a sore throat. It is on the smaller side but great for a snack. It was 100% perfection and amazing. Great wok hay, a good amount of large soft pieces of beef. Best I have ever tasted. Their regular menu has a lot of fusion pastas that my friend has tried and vouches for. I cannot wait to come back! Also, loved that the water served there is warm :) Edit: tried their regular menu. Pork cutlet with french mushroom sauce is delicious. I wish it had more gravy though. It came with 2 huge pieces which made the $20 price tag more acceptable. Hot milk tea was perfect and again, the warm water served was the ideal temperature. The Angus beef red curry was good but not especially memorable.

We came here for tea on a Friday afternoon. The tea set is now on promotion at $10/set from 3pm to 5pm. When we arrived at around 3:15pm, the restaurant was almost full. After we sat down, there were people waiting for table. Better to come a bit early if you don’t want to queue. We ordered one club sandwich and one fried beef ho fan with hot milk tea. I am impressed by how they serve milk tea. Unlike normal restaurants and HK style cafe in Toronto, hot milk tea here is served in Le Creuset cup while cold milk tea is served cold in a little ice bucket. The sandwich with chicken was served in a big plate while the ho fan was served in a small plate which made the portion of the ho fan look much smaller. The portion of the ho fan is right for me, just I think it could be a bit more salty. The sandwich is good. The price of tea set is great, the staff is attentive, and the decor is modern with comfortable seating. Overall, I had a good dining experience here and will come back again to try other dishes!
