Masumi our server was very energetic and very accommodating! Best service. Food was tasty! Overall experience was indeed 5 star. They make my mom’s birthday very memorable, with a personalized printed photo and cake with candle. Love it!

I was not pleased with the service nor experience I received on Dec 21st. Mandarin is absolutely a childhood favourite however they have not maintained the standard of quality or service nor friendliness that was once synonymous with dining at Mandarin. Several chairs were ripped and heavily stained, the sliders had green unripe tomatoes in them, the spicy fried shrimp with the shells on were so overcooked that the shell was fused on( by the shape of cakes on oil and grease you wouldn’t know what you’re eating). They stuffed 13 of us in a small corners and then went to accommodate another smaller group beside us by adding a table section onto theirs resulting in even less room for us. I went to get a manager and the host told me there was nothing they can do and I’d have to wait 30 mins to get a different spot ( despite me seeing many dining rooms unoccupied) Our water was filled 1 time. Overall the food was cold, and it took a while to bring out fresh offerings. The exit host gave children in our party cotton candy without asking for parental consent which caused an issue. Overall, For spending $600+ at dinner at the very least if the food isn’t up to par you expect friendly and accommodating service. I understand times are tough but restaurants should still maintain their standards, or lower their prices.

Had a great time today at Mandarin but the food was satisfactory nothing like how it was years ago. However our server Hafees was very nice and professional he made our visit worthwhile! Excellent server. Will try again on another day.

The food was great at this location, plenty of options and some unique ice cream choices I haven’t seen anywhere else like ube vanilla ice cream. The seating areas felt very dark, more lighting should be installed at this location. Washroom was small and very slippery floors. Hilda was a great waiter, gave us extra tissues and refilled my ice tea very quickly.

I had a fantastic experience at Mandarin Restaurant! The variety of food is incredible, and the service was excellent. I was particularly impressed with Veer at the grill section. He cooked my steak to perfection and was so friendly throughout. His attention to detail and warm demeanor really stood out. I'll definitely be coming back for both the great food and the amazing service

I recently dined at the Mandarin Restaurant in Scarborough, and it was a delightful experience. This place has such a nice atmosphere and I love all of the decor. The service was very fast and our server, Masumi, was the sweetest and most attentive server ever! She has amazing customer service and people skills. She gave us warm towels before and after our meals and I really appreciated that. The food itself is pretty mid but there are definitely some food options that are worth eating lots of, like the prime rib and other meat dishes. I've never been to Mandarin before but I'd definitely come back just for the good vibes, atmosphere, and service. While the food is definitely not worth the ~$50 per person, this is still a nice place to eat at with a group of people for sure.
