What a culinary experience! If this is the soft opening I cannot wait to see the full menu! Such a beautiful place from the moment you walk in to the service and most importantly the food! The staff was very attentive, and knowledgeable catering to us at every moment of our evening! I am definitely looking forward to dining here again and am now following the journey of chef Kieth Pears as he embarks on creating a culinary experience time and time again! Definitely deserves a Michelin star in Markham !!

Pears was an amazing experience for us during our visit to Toronto! The cuisine is a delightful mix of Asian influences, with their own personal touch added to every dish. The decor and atmosphere are unique and inviting, making you want to stay longer than usual. We highly recommend visiting and trying their delicious dishes!

Came to Pears tonight with some friends to check out all the hype. They are in their soft opening so a little grace was given to the whole experience. Overall we were happy with our meal. We tried a variety of items such as the lobster mapo tofu, shrimp scallop toast, mussel Malay noodles, chicken wings, KFC sliders and shrimp and corn chowder. Some items like the Malay noodles and KFC sliders really stood out with bold and balanced flavours. Probably our two faves. However other items like the lobster mapo tofu and the shrimp corn chowder were a bit fussy, lacking in flavour or did not warrant the price paid. In particular the lobster mapo tofu had little to no lobster, consisting mostly of shell. To save yourself 58 bucks avoid this dish if you can. Dessert was interesting. Basque cheesecake was really bad - truffle ice cream was way too overpowering. The black sesame baked Alaska on the other hand was delightful and an excellent choice for Asian tastebuds (not too sweet). Clara was our server this evening. She was wonderful to interact and offered helpful suggestions for our meal. She recommended a lovely Mocktail Mule which happened to be delish. Great service! Overall everything met the standard, just choose wisely on what to order. Nice work Pears 👍

We went here during their soft opening, and what an experience it was. The staff were super friendly ! And the food was amazing. Did not think the crispy Broccoli would be my favourite!! Highly recommend it. Excited to have such a great restaurant in the area! Will definitely be back for the grand opening and beyond :)

Cozy new spot in downtown Markham. Upscale yet casual enough to not feel like you have to totally dress up for it. Food was delicious especially the Char Siu Beef Short Rib, it was so tender and serving was definitely big enough to share with a few people. Definitely a good food scene for that special day or a simple treat yo-self kinda day.

New restaurant in downtown Markham. Upscale and great vibes. Everything we ordered was delicious! The staff are super friendly and attentive. Favorite dishes turned out to be the char Siu short rib and the crispy sea bass! Great spot for a romantic dinner or a birthday celebration!!

Pears Restaurant was an absolutely incredible experience! From the moment we walked in, everything was perfect – the cozy and welcoming atmosphere, the attentive and professional service, and of course, the outstanding food. Each dish was a masterpiece, with flavors that were perfectly balanced and thoughtfully crafted. What truly made the experience unforgettable was the exceptional talent of Chef Erfan. His passion for his craft shines through in every bite, with dishes that are not only delicious but also beautifully presented. If you're looking for a top-notch dining experience with unforgettable flavors, Pears Restaurant is the place to go. Hands down, one of the best meals I've ever had!
