Food is alright but service is really good. Sizzling sets do not come with soup , coffee or tea, need to pay extra to make them a real set, that's a little bit disappointing as a Hong Kong style cafe.

You're a "good catch" I mean look at this wonton noodle with spicy curry fish ball. Doesn't get anymore HK than this. Always enjoyed going to @goodcatchcafe for some chinese cha chaang tang. If you're a sports fan, or if you want to zone out from your partner for a sec, they have like 20 TVs there to get your attention. Food is outstanding. Only thing is the Cafe closes a bit earlier than I prefer as I'm a late eater. But when in dt markham Hit them up. 有人想去茶餐廳嗎?

I was really looking forward to a nice cup of HK style milk tea but was horrified when it came in a paper cup with a plastic lid despite dining in. A hot milk tea not only needs to taste good but should be served in the proper vessel for the experience to be authentic. I feel guilty for the extra garbage generated from my visit as well. Probably won’t be back.

I had always thought this was a seafood boil place so I never tried it. I was surprised that it was actually a HK cafe type restaurant! I think they may have used to be a boil place and have rebranded. This place is quite interesting, half the restaurant is a bar and the other half looks like a traditional HK cafe style restaurant. We ordered the baked pork chop rice, a lobster bisque and an iced hk milk tea with red bean. The baked pork chop rice was pretty good. There was a lot of cheese and I think that the pork was fried, but done quite well. It's easy to make pork chop too tough so I was impressed with how juicy it was. I was a little dissapointed that the rice was just plain rice and not fried rice. The lobster bisque originally came out very burnt. There was a strong burnt smell and taste. We were able to ask them to switch it and the new one came with no burnt taste. The lobster bisque was ok, not super good but not terrible. The milk tea was not too good. The red bean did not seem to go well with the milk tea. I have had this combination before elsewhere and it was good so I think they didn't adjust the sweetness well. I wouldn't come here for the drinks.

Great place to social with others. Consistent food quality, keep up the good work. Servers are friendly, but hard to keep up the speed when it’s crowded & fully loaded on the weekend.

HK cafe + seafood boil. Hk cafe has good portion sizes and reasonable prices. After 8pm there is only seafood boil menu. Make sure to join waitlist early as they do get pretty busy. It’s also a great place for big parties as restaurants pretty big with many tables.

It's been awhile since I've been here. Last time I think they were still Good Catch Boil House! Walking in the first thing I noticed is the right side of the resto now has traditional HK cafe decor and booth seating now. The left side of the resto still retains its boil house/bar decor and vibe. I rmbr there being a lot of TVs the last time I came but I think they may have added even more since then! LOL It makes sense though because I can imagine tons of ppl coming in the evenings to enjoy sports and bar food. Ok jumping straight to food. They have a traditional HK cafe style menu, kept the boil house menu that is fusion-y w/ shareables and then a menu with seasonal specials. We ordered a baked curry beef brisket rice off the HK cafe menu (was supposed to come w/ double cheese on top but gf is lactose intolerant so we removed that lol), a seafood pasta which was listed under "Shareables" and washed it down w/ HK milk tea which came w/ the rice. The curry beef brisket rice surprised me. It had a SOLID amount of meat (not too many potatoes and not too many veggies) and enough curry sauce. One of the gripes I have with so many HK cafes is they skimp you on the curry sauce so you're often left eating bare rice. The HK milk tea was a sleeper hit. I'm not saying it's like Marathon Cafe level milk tea but honestly it was kinda hitting up there like a heavyweight LOL. We also saw everyone around us drinking it too instead of the lemon tea so the regulars must know something. The seafood pasta was where most of our frustration lies. It was indeed a shareable portion. Very large dish, lots of seafood, pasta cooked al dente. However, it was ... wait for it ... bland! My gf and I couldn't believe how bland it was. Imagine eating spaghetti straight out of the pot of boiling water. It REALLY could've used salt, pepper, garlic ... SOMETHING. If you're reading this review, plz do yourself a favour and skip the seafood pasta. I would return in the future. The seafood offerings all appear to remain on the menu.

I've been here a couple of times now and I really love it. Before 8/8:30 pm it's a family restaurant with a large menu and kids are allowed. After that, it turns into a bar with a limited menu and lots of drinks. There are always wings and pitcher specials where you get like half price wings with a pitcher or something like that. They have tons of food before nightfall and it's all good stuff. The beef brisket curry on rice casserole was surprisingly really good. My son loved the fried rice and the chicken leg was massive. Surf and turf was lobster and steak. Flavour was good but the texture of the steak was too tender making it have the consistency of a Salisbury steak from those TV/Hungry Man frozen Dinners if you're into that kinda thing. I didn't mind it but some people found it off-putting, especially if you're used to eating expensive steaks. All and all, there were too many items on the menu for us to try it all so we'll have to come back again.
