I found Louf while looking for Palestinian businesses to support, and am I glad my beloved and I came here for a truly memorable date night. We were welcomed by Dominique as if we were coming over to someone’s home. Warm, inviting, friendly vibes. The best part? No one was rushing us, which is an issue we encounter often at eateries in Toronto. Here, we were treated like guests in a home, and were allowed to take our time. Farhan’s managerial skills are beyond supreme. Both he and our server Hossein made the experience absolutely incredible. The food courses were so well-paced, the conversations delightful and the ingredients fresh, delicious and popping with flavour in every bite. We tried Labneh, Patè, Lamb, chickpeas and every dish was elevated, modern, yet also traditional. The presentation was beautiful, the dishes were gorgeous and the glasses passed the scent test, a testament to impeccable and immaculate hygiene practices visible throughout the restaurant. Even though we were quite full from the appetizers and mains we could not leave without trying the cloudy, gooey, delicious milk ice cream and mouth-watering date cake that instantly transported me to travels in the Middle East. We finished off with a frothy, creamy cappuccino server in a stunning ceramic cup, a true work of art. Chef Fadi Kattan has done an outstanding job with Louf and we will most certainly be back to try their famous brunch everyone in our circles is ranting and raving about. Signed copies of Chef’s books “Bethlehem” are available on site and I picked up a copy to treat myself over the holidays. What a gorgeous, unforgettable night. We are so fortunate to have a place like Louf in Toronto. A true gem in our diverse culinary scene.

Nestled between the snow covered streets of Davenport, near Casa Loma, lies louf, a hidden gem that brings the rich flavours of Palestinian cuisine to Toronto. Established by Chef Fadi Kattan, louf offers a modern interpretation of traditional dishes, creating a dining experience that is both authentic and innovative. The vibe is warm and inviting, with a lot of natural light during the day and a gorgeous ambiance which emanates the transformational feels - entering Chef Fadi's domain; a sense of home and warm hospitality abound. The menu at louf is a testament to Chef Kattan’s dedication to proudly showcasing Palestine’s rich culinary heritage. The green olives are from Palestine. The Labansh was perfectly seasoned with Sumac and served with fresh micro greens. The Kibbeh Nayyeh and Dajjaj Pate were extraordinary. A true standout is the Mozet Kharouf Bil Laban Jameed. Tender, slow-braised lamb shank served on top of crispy pistachios and yogurt. The sommelier and staff are knowledgeable, attentive and perfectly paced. Special shoutout goes to Farhan for the warm reception and to Hossein AND Dominique for the incredible service. louf also serves brunch, a perfect reason to plan a return visit. Highly recommend and I will be back!

Had an amazing dining experience at Louf. Food was incredible, service was kind and attentive and the atmosphere was very warm and inviting. There is a lot of attention to detail - the ceramic plates are all made by a Palestinian ceramicist. Prices have gratuity built in, which is how it should be at restaurants. Highly recommend!

We came here with high expectations. However, Louf fell short in effectively every category. 1. Portions are very small for the price you pay. $20 cocktails with the glass half filled is simply not acceptable. 2. Some strange menu choices. One of the cocktails was very sweet and reminiscent of Aunt Jemima syrup. A salad had tomatoes that seemed to have been stewed and lacked any real flavour. The mushroom dish had one variety of mushrooms that were hot and the other completed cold. Quality was just not to the level that one would expect for the amount spent. 3. Service was absolutely not ready for showtime. Servers didn't seem to know the menu items and had trouble providing recommendations. Two waiters were fighting within earshot of several customers because neither wanted to deal with one of the tables. A waiter had to get guidance from another on how to open a bottle of wine (!). I could go on but this was probably the biggest issue with the experience. The restaurant opened only about a month ago, but there are many problems to sort out before I could recommend Louf as a place to spend your hard-earned cash.

Came here for a Saturday brunch to celebrate a birthday and everything was a 10/10. Service was top notch and the atmosphere was soo cozy. They also went above and beyond to accommodate my special requests! We got the hummus with rye bread and the fried potatoes and they were delicious. We will definitely be coming back for brunch again and would love to try their dinner menu as well!

Absolutely scrumptious, wonderful atmosphere, welcoming, and I cannot emphasize enough how delicious the food was. We had a hard time deciding, we wanted everything on the menu. Great for vegetarians.

We came for an opening dinner. Food was authentic and 10/10. All servers, chefs, management were really welcoming and attentive. I would make the place a little bit cozier, but I think that’s coming. Again, if you want some really good food, this is a place is for you. Sorry for the pics, I remembered to take pics too late.
