Eataly offers a decent selection of high-quality Italian products and a lively atmosphere, but it falls short in a few areas. While the fresh ingredients, cheeses, and meats are excellent, the prices are on the higher side, which may not feel justified for some items. The restaurants and cafes are good, though the food can be hit-or-miss depending on the location and time of day. It can also get quite crowded, especially on weekends, making it harder to enjoy the experience fully. Our server seemed to be very slow paced for the majority of the evening. Overall, it’s a solid place to visit for Italian food lovers, but it’s not always the most enjoyable or affordable option.

Don’t recommend! We went to eat at one of the two restaurants that they have upstairs and we were disappointed. The price of the food is very overpriced (both restaurant and the supermarket). Italian food does not cost this much!! For the restaurant, the portions were very little for the amount of money we paid. We also ordered a bottle of still water and they gave us tap water (was put in the bottle of normal water but had many water drops on the outside of the bottle, they didn’t even try to cover it up as bottled water). If it was bottled water, it wouldn’t be covered in water on the outside, clearly they filled an empty bottle with tap water and sold it as bottled water. WE WERE CHARGED THE PRICE OF 9CAD FOR TAP WATER!! For a place with high prices like this we would expect the service to be very good, however, it was the complete opposite. The waiters and waitresses were unprofessional and didn’t give us the best experience. VERY OVERPRICED, BAD SERVICE, WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!

Nice italian supermarket. Tried la pizza et pasta restaurant, food quality is ok nothing special except the ambiance. 3 of meals that we wanted were not available from the menu as well, finally I ordered lasagna and was ok.

I had high expectations for Eataly in downtown Toronto, but my recent visit was incredibly disappointing. The food was mediocre at best and certainly not worth the premium price we paid. However, the most unacceptable part of the experience was what happened to one of our party members. While eating her pizza, she noticed her fingers were turning black from the crust. It was so alarming that she couldn’t continue eating. When we brought this up to the waitress, we were shocked by the response. Instead of apologizing or addressing the issue, she dismissed it, saying this was “normal.” Such a reaction is unprofessional and unacceptable, especially at a restaurant that markets itself as a high-quality dining experience. This lack of accountability ruined our evening. I would not recommend Eataly and will not be returning. There are far better options in Toronto where quality and customer care are taken seriously. Avoid this place unless you want to pay a premium for subpar food and poor service.

I did the private cooking class and it was an incredible experience. The chef was wonderful and knowledgeable, teaching us every step of the way and answering the groups many questions. Pasta making was fun, and the meal was delicious, as well as all the extra starters prepared ahead of time.

Eataly is more than just a place to eat—it’s a cultural complex where you can explore beautifully designed interiors, shop for quality products, and discover new cultural experiences. I’ve always felt that Toronto lacks spaces like this, so visiting Eataly during my trip was one of the most memorable highlights. The food was a bit disappointing compared to my expectations, but I appreciated the freshness of the pasta and ingredients.

Went here recently with one of my best friends for the $25 menu special and it was absolutely worth it. The appetizers were flavourful and surprisingly filling. For the main we both got the mushroom & meat pizza and as you can see from the photo, the portions were incredible. I definitely ended up taking some home with no room for dessert due to how filling the 2 courses were. Would recommend for a nice dinner with friends!

Comprised of several restaurants, this spot is truly a marketplace for all things Italian. The tiramisu is the highlight, especially the lava-style version, which is simply beyond words—a perfect balance of moistness, sweetness, and a touch of bitterness. However, the other dishes are rather ordinary and don't quite stand out. A perk is the 2 hours of free parking if you spend over $50—just be sure to validate on Level C.
