Grillies (Markham & Lawrence)

Tried the paneer burger and paneer bowl, both were delightful! The paneer was nicely marinated and incredibly soft, making each bite a treat. The food quality is really good. They also have a clean dine-in space. Definitely worth a visit.

Don’t order any food here, 🤮🤮🤮🤮 it tastes like cooked -> frozen -> reheated when ordered. I called this restaurant and explained how it tasted, they deny and said it’s fresh food. I think 7 year old can say whether food is frozen and reheated or not. I have spent 17$ on this and got shitty food and I had to throw away. They ruined my morning

Love the quick service and delicious food here!! Be assured that you will be greeted by friendly staff anytime of the day whether it’s your first meal of the day at 11 am or a late night snack at 3 am. Muskan, one of the staff is professional and knowledgeable. Thank you for your patience and wonderful hospitality ❤️

I would recommend their food only for takeout, not for dining in. The staff lacks good customer service skills, and the work atmosphere is unhealthy. Additionally, this place is better suited for burger sandwiches rather than shakes, as their mango shake has no texture and lacks flavor. Prices are okay. The Indian supervisor or manager is especially problematic, being very bossy and harsh with new employees, treating them like slaves during training, and creating an unpleasant atmosphere with loud shouting. Name tags for staff would help customers address them directly, as it’s difficult without them. The bossy supervisor has blondish hair. I hope the restaurant owner takes note and makes necessary improvements!

4.5 / 5 - it’s a fantastically run late night restaurant. Maybe a gem in Scarborough. The service was outstanding. The nicest, coolest guys working. Genuinely polite and helpful. Food was all around excellent and made from scratch. Burgers, fries, tacos. Not sure it’s healthy, but super tasty. It was worth the drive. Well run business to the management and ownership teams.

Very delicious. The prices are fair. I don't usually write reviews but I'm kind of glad I found this place randomly and just wanted to share my experience. Came to this location after randomly finding it on Google Maps on a Sunday noon on my way home. Perfect sunny, cool summer day, couldn't be any better. Even then, there were no customers inside the establishment when I visited. Kind of sad. Serving for two. I ordered a Monster burger, probably the most expensive burger on the menu, and 3 hard shell beef tacos. Go big or go home! Monster burger has both beef patty and chicken, so the price is kinda justified. "Monster burger" sounds cool, but the chicken didn't do much for me. Tasty nonetheless. Will definitely have to revisit and try their cheeseburgers! Also tried their hard shell beef tacos. Also quite tasty. I'm not big on tacos, but I may still order again.

I’m a regular at Grillies, I’m here a few times a month. I’ve had some not so great experiences here but overall, I keep coming back, the food is very decent. My friends and I came for burgers and a burrito bowl to dine in the other day and the food didn’t come out together. The fries took an extra 10 minutes once our food arrived at the table, and by the time our fries showed up our burgers were kinda cold. The food is good quality, prepared well (most of the time). Service kinda lacks, there used to be one awesome guy that worked here he was great with the service and always made sure the food was on point, we were even on a first name basis that’s how often I would come when he was working. There seems to be a bunch of new hires and while everyone is very nice and polite, the attention to detail and good service is under par. Grilles is good and has the potential to be amazing, the quality is there but you need great service and sufficient culinary training to ensure all components of a meal are coming out together and on time. Would also be nice if they salted their fries. Also there is a big discrepancy between portion sizes when you dine in, compared taking it to-go. The burrito bowl is twice the size when you dine in.
