Congee Queen specializes in Chinese Cuisine. They are our go to place to dine in. With multiple locations across the GTA, they are doing well. There’s 9 of them. 1) Seafood Super Bowl congee has small pieces of Shrimps, Salmon, Squid, Fish, imitation Crab meat and Scallops. It comes only in one size. 2) Crispy Tiger Shrimps served with mangoes salad. These shrimps are huge in size. 3) Chu Hau Beef tendon. Cooked to perfection, so soft, you don’t even need a knife to eat it. They accept credit cards, debit cards or cash. With the Holiday Tax break going on until February 15th, 2025, why not give them a try? They have lunch promos during the weekdays excluding the holidays. They do takeouts too.

Fast service. I came on a busy night and was able to get seated in around 15 min. Everything was ordered online through a QR code and we paid in cash and got 5% off. Overall, everything was very tasty and highly recommend getting the beef chow fun to everyone.

Food: 5 Stars Service: 5 Stars Ambience: 5 Stars Value: 5 Stars Overall: 5 Stars Congee Queen on Leslie Street is likely one of the best Congee Queen locations I’ve visited, and I’ve been to quite a few. If you are familiar with Congee Queen’s reputation for quality, this particular spot truly lives up to, and even surpasses, the high expectations associated with their name. There are several aspects that set this location apart, and I hope my experience will be insightful if you are considering stopping by. Firstly, I found the service here to be impressively friendly. Given how incredibly busy this place can get—especially on weekends—it’s remarkable that the staff remain as attentive and polite as they do. One word of advice for anyone planning to come on a Saturday or Sunday: you’re going to want to call ahead to reserve a spot. The restaurant fills up quickly, and for good reason. Despite the hustle and bustle, the waitstaff always found time to check in on us and were attentive to our needs, making the whole dining experience smooth and comfortable. When it comes to the food, this Leslie Street location is simply unmatched compared to others, particularly the Congee Queen at Centrepoint Mall. I can say with confidence that the dishes here are a level above—from taste to presentation—and there’s really no comparison. We started with the sweet and sour pork, which turned out to be a highlight for all of us. One thing that really stood out was how well the pork was cooked. Unlike at other locations where you may find it overly battered, here the balance was perfect—more tender pork and less batter, giving it a crispiness that felt light and well-executed without sacrificing flavour. The sauce was just right too, not too sweet, which is often a pitfall with sweet and sour dishes. We also ordered the fried chili turnip patties, and they were bursting with flavour. This dish was one of my personal favourites, thanks to the crispy exterior and the combination of spices that made every bite a delight. The turnip patties were well-seasoned and had just the right amount of kick to them, which complemented the rest of our meal beautifully. It’s rare to find a dish like this done so well, and this location certainly gets it right. In addition to these highlights, we ordered both noodles and a rice dish, and every component was spot on. The noodles were cooked perfectly al dente and seasoned with a good mix of vegetables and sauce that was neither too greasy nor too bland—a balance that is sometimes hard to strike with stir-fried noodles. The rice was fluffy and had a nice blend of textures with vegetables and meat that rounded out our meal in a satisfying way. The overall quality of food at Congee Queen Leslie really sets this location apart. It’s not just the variety on the menu that’s impressive—it’s the consistency in preparation, the flavours, and the presentation of each dish. Whether you are in the mood for their signature congee, fried dishes, or noodles, this spot manages to deliver an experience that feels thoughtfully curated, with each dish cooked to perfection. The quality control here feels a notch above, and I would recommend this location over others without hesitation. To sum it up, if you are in the area, Congee Queen on Leslie is worth the visit. Just make sure you call to book a reservation, particularly on weekends. The service is consistently friendly, and the food speaks for itself—each dish is carefully crafted, flavourful, and often better than you’ll find at other locations. It’s not just the sweet and sour pork and chili turnip patties that were a delight; everything we ordered was done right, from noodles to rice. For those who are already fans of Congee Queen, this location might just become your new favourite—and if you’re new to the experience, this is the perfect place to start. xx kellychan360

We got there right when they opened. Got seated in a small table for our group of 9. After we ordered the waiter asked if we would like to love to a bigger table. We told him that the other lady didn’t want to give us a bigger table. Shortly after we ordered, the boss came over and moved us to the bigger table. The waiter was also nice enough to talk us down from ordering too much congee. The roast duck and roasted pig was the best. The congee was good but we’ve had better. The vegetable was drenched in congee. The rice noodles were good. The beef rice rolls were also very tasty. The soy sauce noodles were a little in the oily side. Lastly the turnip cubes were about to go bad. Could taste a little sourness. I would still recommend this place. Also this is walking distance to the Marriott and Residence Inn.

Located just south of Hwy 7 and Commerce Valley E. There is a large lot out front but does get a little busy over the weekends This institution has been dishing out many great stir fry dishes to enjoy There is a BBQ counter for those looking for a little more. The service is quick, efficient and courteous. The seating is very spacious and has a combo of booths and tables able to handle any size visitors. There is a little nook at the back along with a private room for those looking to have a private event The food quality is great and well priced.

"I decided to bring my family to dine at Congee Queen (Richmond Hill location) and ordered the vegetable chow mein. Unfortunately, I found a sharp piece of black plastic embedded in my food, which I only discovered after chewing my food. Luckily, I didn’t get hurt, but this is a serious food safety concern. The staff took the dish away and didn’t charge us for it, but it’s still disappointing that such an incident happened. I hope they improve their quality control, as this could have resulted in a serious injury. Posting this to raise awareness, as food safety should always be a priority!"

My daughters and I were looking for a place for dinner and came upon Congee Queen. You can't go wrong with this chain. I find the food is consistently good from all locations. The ambiance was clean and the restaurant was huge at this location. Lots of seatings. It got super busy after 6pm. For this location you have to scan a QR code to order online and then the food comes to you. If you pay with cash you get a 5% discount off your bill. We ordered the sweet and sour pork, Cantonese Chow Mein and the donut fritters wrapped in rice rolls. So good!! Service was great, the servers were helpful and polite. I would definitely come back!

first visit: march 23, 2024 went with friends for dinner, we had reserved a table for 20 around 11am today. if you plan to go on a weekend, better reserve while early cause this place/branch is packed! we were seated within minutes of reservation time (630pm), and staff CHERRY was very accommodating. we were a group of 16 with some kids -apparently i over-ordered, but we had them to go anyway, so no food wasted. fast service considering how busy it was.. i can't stress enough how wonderful the staff are.. I'm calling out the owner: these people are very good! just saying! food is awesome! we had a good spot, and price is reasonable! parking a little difficult during dinner time, but lots of parking, so just be patient! they ran out of bbq pork, so our server recommended something and saved some for us by ordering it ahead. this place is highly recommended!
