Our favourite restaurant in Whitby for all our tandoori favourites!! Myself & my mom love to dine in at The Kabab Shoppe Whitby location, we visit multiple times a week (it’s that great!!) - this location continues to impress, especially thanks to the amazing staff, the Owner is always so kind & welcoming, and they provide great service! Every time we visit, we’re welcomed with warmth, enthusiasm & great food. Our favourite platter that we order is the Tandoori Chicken Platter & fries - and the fantastic staff always ensure to go above and beyond to exceed our dining experience and make the best most delicious meals for us!! Along with my friends it was our first experience in Whitby , during the day for lunch we searched the Restaurant through Google and we find "THE KABAB SHOPEE" we met "Nidhi Patel" she guided us very well regarding menu and selection for the lunch, I will summerize the food, service, Restaurant environment was Awesome. I will say it's one of the best Restaurant. Thankyou all from "THE KABAB SHOPEE" We all liked the food.

Absolutely loved this place! Staff was very friendly and helpful, lots of delicious meals to choose from. Very clean and organized location with a modern warm atmosphere. Food was absolutely amazing, you can tell by the taste, texture and freshness that the meat is very high quality. Flavour is on point and when it comes to quantity, it is very well served, the few times I’ve been here I was never able to finish everything and brought the leftovers home for later. The only negative thing I have to say is that I wish they had a restaurant closer to me in Mississauga.

I usually go to Kabab shoppe because it’s pretty good, I usually get the chicken breast kababs on rice with salad, but today I felt like butter chicken. I am not even close to Indian, but I do know what authentic butter chicken tastes like and this was definitely not it. I find this place cuts corners. The sauces aren’t that great compared to other places (the red one in particular). I ordered the butter chicken bowl today And the sauce on the chicken was definitely not an authentic butter chicken sauce, and it seemed to have been thrown over a tandoori chicken. The sauce was very gritty. They threw this “butter chicken” over the salad, fries and rice. It did not look appetizing at all. I couldn’t even see the salad it was beneath everything. It would make sense if the salad and the fries and the rice were separated, but it was all piled on top of each other. It didn’t at all look like the photo on the menu. The salad was mushy and so were the fries. It would make sense to put something like a chicken kebab over salad, but not a butter chicken because it is too saucy. It was a giant pile of mush. If you blended it in a smoothie, it would’ve been the exact same thing that was in this bowl. The fries were not even edible. They were so mushy. The salad was totally mushy and warm. Whoever made this wasn’t thinking at all. Sometimes when there are too many things on the menu, you cannot nail them properly. I would just focus on a few really good items and perfect them. If you were ordering butter chicken, I would be very specific and ask them not to put it over the salad or the the fries. Have everything separate. I mean, the flavour was pretty decent, but this was overall not enjoyable. Not appetizing at all.

We ordered Tandoori Chicken bowl!! It truly tasted fantastic!! The chicken tandoori tasted great and rice was flavourful!! Some fresh veggies could be added to make it more palatable!!

The Kabab Shoppe, with locations in Pickering, Whitby, and Oshawa serves up great tasting food with 100% Halal certified meats! I had the pleasure of dining with friends at the Whitby location. We feasted on so much flavourful food, and even had leftovers to take home. From appetizers to main courses, to a light dessert, it was all good! Our feast started with Samosas, Spring Rolls, Lentil Soup, and Falafel! That was soon followed by Butter Chicken, Paneer Mahkani, a couple of Chicken dishes (one with fries and the other with rice), fresh Naan, and a salad. My favourites, however, were still to come. The featured dishes, and my favourites of the meal, were the Kabuli Palau and Kabab Platter. Kabuli Palau is Afghanistan's National Dish, consisting of Lamb Shank on a bed of Rice, with Raisins, and Carrots. The flavour is savoury and slightly sweet with the raisins and carrots. The lamb was tender and very flavourful. The Kabab Platter had a variety of grilled meats on rice. It was all delicious, and more than enough to feed a family (or a group of hungry foodies)! Our wonderful meal ended with Gulab Jamun, a dessert that resembles a Timbit and is served in a sugary syrup. Delicious! We all enjoyed every bite! Thank you to The Kabab Shoppe for a wonderful meal!

Great food but not a great service. We ordered a platter 2 for four people and couldn't finish it. Meat was fresh, kabobs were juicy, loved the tandoori chicken fries, bread was fresh. The problem was cutlery as we were served with disposable plates and stuff, for a dine-in restaurant it is such a turn off especially when your food is great. Service was below average as we weren't even provided with serving spoons and drinks. I would suggest to the owner of this restaurant to make some changes as that's gonna kill your customer turn-out, yes, you are saving a few bucks in washing the dishes but you're gonna lose business.
