We got the mango salad, pad see ew, and the pork jowl. I found the portion sizes to be quite small and overpriced for what you get at around 20 bucks a plate. Taste was just ok.

It's a bit noisy, not sure if it's the sound of running water or music—unless this place is going for an authentic Bangkok street food vibe. By the way, the pork neck is delicious.

the food they serve on Uber Eats is definitely not what they serve when dining in. Ordered a pad thai, tasted like complete garbage. couldn’t even finish it. tasted cheap and not authentic at all. you’re better off getting food court food. disappointed and would never recommend to others.

The place is cozy, you can enjoy nice conversation while dining. The seatings are well arranged. The food were amazing! They offer lots of authentic Thai cuisine and all were prepared and cooked with standard. Ingredients were not shortchanged. The staff are all friendly, attentive, and quick to provide what you request. We will definitely be back and bring friends and relatives.

We had a fantastic lunch here. The food was great and the service was superb. All the dishes we ordered had great flavours and good texture. Compared to a lot of other Thai restaurants, their noodles are not overcooked and have a good elasticity to them which makes the food so much better. Their sticky rice dessert was also amazing. Even though we were quite full, the rice was so smooth and the contrast of flavours from the sweetness of the coconut sauce and the sourness of the mango made the dessert so light for some reason. As for the service, both the waiter and the waitress there were friendly, welcoming and smiling throughout the dining experience which made us feel so much more comfortable eating at the restaurant. Finally, the price is acceptable. Each dish was around 18$ and it did come with a good portion. Their lunch special is even less expensive and it also comes with a soup and a spring roll.

The food was below average, service was very frustrating, and the price is quite high. I came on a Friday night w reservation and the restaurant was basically full. We were seated noticed there were only 2 waitress who did serving, cleaning, greeting, and taking orders. It took 5 frustrating minutes each time to wave over a waiter for simple stuff like ordering, asking about order, and getting bill. It was so slow and they look at the floor to ignore your wave because they are so busy. The only dish I enjoyed was the shrimp cake appetizer. The rest was not good. The chicken satay was very dry and portion was so small. The red curry duck had some odd ingredients like grapes, and the duck was very tough and under seasoned. And the pad see ew w shrimp which costs extra at $21, had maybe 4 shrimps total and the sauce tasted too sweet like all hoisin sauce. The noodle texture was also soggy. The meal was over $60 per person which was not worth it at all given the taste, portion and service.

The service was excellent. The waiters brought us 2 cups of hot water for the 2 elders without us having to ask. They gave us the safest table for a stroller. The food was fantastic. The only downside is that their curry doesn't include rice, but it's no big deal. The price is definitely on the pricier end but it's worth every penny if you have the budget. Definitely the best Thai place I've been to so far.

The last time I came to Thai Basil was almost a decade ago and I'm glad to see this local restaurant still going strong. We visited just before the weekend lunch rush and had a great time! We got their set for 4 which included mango salad, soup, chicken skewers, spring rolls, pad Thai, grilled chicken, and a choice of main. The portions were on the larger side and we could not finish the food. Everything came out wonderfully except for the crispy sea bass which was small and dry. At its normal menu price of $40, I would have felt highly disappointed in this dish. Since we got it as part of the set menu, it was more okay. Still, overall Thai Basil was good and we are looking forward to coming back.
