Rogues Restaurant - Fine Dining Restaurant

We recently hosted a holiday party at Rogues, and while the food was great, the service was disappointing and felt discriminatory. Our group faced dismissive attitudes, forgotten drink orders, and unprofessional behavior from the staff. Even the front-of-house manager was unhelpful when we raised concerns. The poor service made us feel unwelcome, which was disheartening in a place with such a strong reputation. I hope they work on treating all guests with equal respect and professionalism.

We recently hosted a holiday party at Rogues Restaurant, and while the food was fantastic and the ambiance enjoyable, the service fell far short of expectations, especially given the restaurant’s strong reputation. Despite being warned about tight table arrangements (which we appreciated and accommodated), the evening was marred by unprofessional service, inconsistent hospitality standards, and poor communication. Specific issues included: Unprofessional responses to simple requests, such as sarcastic remarks when asking for bread or being told brusquely, “I am not your server.” Tables were not cleared promptly, leaving them cluttered and messy. Careless handling of dishes and utensils, including tossing utensils onto plates and slamming down hot sauce on the table while interrupting conversations. Drink orders were either forgotten or denied without explanation—some guests received double espressos, while others were told they were unavailable. The main server poured wine in sips, rushing off before allowing us to request more. To address these issues, we spoke to the front-of-house manager, who was dismissive and lacked understanding. We also followed up with multiple emails to share our feedback but received no response, which reflects poorly on the restaurant's commitment to customer service. Additionally, an 18% gratuity was charged on the grand total (including taxes) instead of the subtotal, which is not a standard practice and felt misleading. I chose Rogues based on recommendations from my manager and colleagues, who spoke highly of its food and service. Unfortunately, the rude service and lack of professionalism overshadowed the excellent food. I hope this feedback prompts improvements, but I will not be returning or recommending the restaurant at this time.

I can’t state how amazing my experience at Rogues was. I had a birthday/ engagement dinner there and the staff were simply amazing. They were extremely responsive, answered all my questions patiently. We had a large party of 25 people and our server Randy was extremely attentive, fast, polite and all round pleasant person. All the staff went above and beyond to make my proposal magical and to make sure our guests had an amazing time. The food was amazing too but the service was just world class! I would 100% recommend over and over again! My new favourite restaurant.

Feels like a hidden gem with simple entrance to a charming restaurant serving most delicious Italian masterpieces! An exceptional service, attentive to guests, sensitive to preferences and extremely knowledgeable. The menu offers huge variety from salads, soups to main dishes.

The service is beyond top notch. We had the loveliest young man who spoke so clearly and well and it was a loooooong list of specials he had to recite. He was prompt with refills and made delicious cocktails. It’s a smaller size restaurant, white table clothes and linen napkins. Perfect date night, girls night dinner or work gathering. Appreciated no music/sound system as we were there to converse and eat. We mostly ordered specials and everything was delicious. I was nervous about the octopus carpaccio but it was delicious. Would definitely order again. There is an entire garden of microgreens and herbs in the kitchen, you can’t get any fresher than that! To be honest everything but the crème brûlée I would order again. Nothing wrong with the Crème Brûlée, my friends loved it but it wasn’t my fav, likely due to all the other desserts we ordered. This is a family owned and operated restaurant, the owner can be seen in the open kitchen preparing your meal. It’s a very comfortable and welcoming place. This is not a trendy restaurant, they have been around over 40years but if you want simple elegance with exceptional service and food this is your place. The wine list was extensive and hard to pick just one. The cocktails were a delicious and fun start to our evening and the espresso/grappa and cappuccino were excellent finishers. Recommend making a reservation as space is limited. Lots of free parking and Uber pickups were really fast.

Great service - Dylan was fantastic. The food was well presented but pricey. The elk special was lovely. The tiramisu was amazing. I would avoid the cocktails.

Amazing service, food and atmosphere. Couldn't ask for more. Went there for my birthday with my bf and ordered rolled eggplant, chicken Parmesan and rack of lamb. Once the server confirmed that we will be sharing everything, she offered to plate everything on two separate plates for us and serve them one at a time. They also offered to swap the veggie sides on one of the dishes to spaghetti so that we aren't having duplicates. And before we left, they threw in an free cheesecake for my birthday. Food initially looked sparse on pictures due to the large plates, but in reality, its more than enough. They checked in multiple times during the meal. And made it an absolute wonderful experience for us. Thank you so much. Can't recommend this place enough.

Exceptional service and dining experience! We were greeted at the door, seated promptly, and the server was very friendly and courteous throughout the night. The escargot cooked in pastry was flaky and paired with a tasty creamy sauce. The salmon was also cooked to perfection (not dry at all), and tortellini stuffed with beef and mushroom was seasoned well with wonderful flavouring and a balanced sauce.  Found in a cozy nook in Mississauga - highly recommend!
