Istanbul Doner House

During my visit to Canada, I had the chance to dine at Istanbul Doner House, and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we walked in, the staff was inviting, and the interior was beautifully designed. The restaurant had a modern yet cozy feel, and a unique feature we loved was the TVs showing how the food was prepared—it added an engaging and authentic touch to the experience of this Turkish Cuisine. We decided to dine in, and the service was impeccable. Our waiter was incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout the meal. The food arrived surprisingly quickly, which we appreciated. We ordered lentil soup, chicken and mozzarella pide, and the mix plate for three people. Each dish was presented beautifully and tasted phenomenal. The flavors were rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced, showcasing the restaurant’s dedication to quality. As if the meal wasn’t delightful enough, we were treated to complimentary tea, which was warm and soothing, and a dessert I believe was called kunafa. The kunafa was out of this world—crispy on the outside, soft and cheesy on the inside, and drenched in a deliciously sweet syrup. It was the perfect ending to an already wonderful meal. Istanbul Doner House truly exceeded my expectations with its amazing food, fast and friendly service, and overall attention to detail. It’s a place I would HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for authentic Turkish cuisine in a welcoming and well-thought-out setting. I’ll definitely be returning the next time I’m in town!

It’s been 2 weeks that we ate here and Im still raving and craving it. Everything was excellent. Food taste, service, employees. They even gave us samplers and they were absolutely amazing. I hope to return soon and bring more of my friends next time. Such a lovely authentic restaurant.

So it's proven that food is only delicious in small places. Better than Agha, much better than Sumaq. Love the food and people. Great hospitality.... never seen anywhere in Canada .... Umer and Moin is the best !!!

Istanbul Doner House offers authentic, juicy, and flavorful dishes in generous portions. The food truly stands out, especially the meat, which is perfectly seasoned and doesn’t need any sauces to enhance its taste—it’s delicious as is. I highly recommend their sandwiches. That said, the restaurant is often very busy and struggles to keep up with seating. The indoor space is quite small and packed, so be prepared for a crowded experience. Overall, the amazing food more than makes up for the cramped atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

Absolutely delightful. We went to this Turkish establishment for our lunch and it was an awesome experience. Service was great, Food was delicious and priced right, portion sizes where huge and ambience was good. Will definitely return. We got lentil soup and Platter for 2. Highly recommended. Approved !

Delicious food, long waiting on weekends. Seats are too close to next table seatings. Slightly congested. Serving is quick though. The food comes is good quantity and quality. Decent variety of dishes in the menu. Meats are juicy n flavourful. The servers are very dry hospitable. Overall a good experience!

Istanbul Doner is by far the best Turkish restaurant in Mississauga. The food and service are something that will compel you to keep coming back. Our server Fatima, was extra helpful and extremely courteous in helping us choose and serve in a timely fashion. Until next time!!!

Great food. Initially we felt two of the lamb chops were too small, Fatma went their chef right away and we received extra chicken wings. The portion for the meal platter for two was huge! It’s enough for four people if you also intend to order some lamb chop on the side.
