East Izakaya

Overall, this was a really good restaurant, highly recommended! The waiters and waitresses are very polite. The food is very original Japanese flavor, and there is a wide range of choices for desserts and drinks. I suggest everyone to try the fried Oreo as well as the pudding. The Christmas decorations were also very neat. One suggestion is for you to add some bigger tables, because when a whole family is sitting there with all of the dishes and cups on the table, the current size makes it a bit crowded.

The restaurant was buzzing with energy the day before new years eve. The Red roof roll was amazing but I thought there would be more tuna on top based on the picture in the online menu so that was a small disappointment. I ordered a la cart and not the all you can eat buffet, but this roll was what I would expect if it was prepared for the all you can eat menu rather than to be had as a standalone roll unto itself. The quality and flavour was solid for your budget sushi place. It's not premium or high quality by any means but delivers results that are satisfying for your money. The service was between okay to good as I casually walked in from the street and did not reserve in advance, they were able to seat me immediately table for 1 and I was in and out in 30 minutes while customers who were waiting before I even arrived were still waiting to be seated when I left. Washrooms were fairly clean.

Everything is amazing! Helen is so friendly and attentive. Had a wonderful dinner with my girls! Highly recommend everyone to try beef tataki, sake clam, and creme brulee 😁💕

What an amazing dining experience! We were heading to the Niagara area and decided to have lunch here on the way. We had the dinner menu and was very impressed at how fresh and delicate all the food was. Food came out pretty and tasted even better! Our favourites were all the torched sushi/maki, grilled short ribs, oropon chicken & beef, and the lotus root tempura (a must try, not a lot of places serve this!!) Servers were friendly and the whole vibe of the restaurant was on point. We will definitely be back!

Came here with a party of 7. Service from Jaunik and Suzy was amazing! They cleared all dirty/empty plates promptly and ensured all napkins, water, sauces were refilled without us asking! They were so attentive and offered help when we were ordering. Always quick to react to all our needs and made our party feel very welcomed. I was the first to arrive and from the start our hostess Har greeted me warmly and made sure I was seated promptly. Wonderful experience, would recommend as a date location or large party. Thank you East! Great management.

I've been coming to this location (different name in the past) for over 18 years now. Quality is still top notch compared to any AYCE in downtown Toronto at the same price point (Kaka being the only exception). Quality is great, and there are a few unique season items like the clams that are a must try. Service was excellent for an AYCE. Server was friendly, checked in with us a few times to see if we're good. Service was not rushed, even though we stayed pretty much the full two hours. Sorry for the half eaten food in the photos. I wasn't planning on posting about the meal but, when a place is this good, it deserves some praise.

I love this franchise, as much as wind, & Ma. The interior design & decor of East Izakaya is stylish and modern. The service is superb. Staff is fast in bringing out food & taking away finished plates. They are always ready to serve and have a smile on their face. Their sashimi is excellent and fresh off the boat. You are paying less for supreme quality. I came here 3-4 times and every time I was happy. Oh and if you have left over, staff will pack for you to take home. But please order enough! Food cost is expensive nowadays.

I have been coming here for years and it’s amazing every single time! the quality of the food is what keeps me coming back! Fast service, very attentive with picking up dirty plates and filling up water. I have also had take out which has always been delicious! Will be returning!!
