As a vegan, I didn’t try their food, so I also can’t comment on its quality. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. My children are allergic to nuts and seeds, and we informed the restaurant about this beforehand. Despite that, from appetizers to main courses, almost every dish contained nuts or seeds. When we asked if the salad dressing or other items had seeds, the servers had to check multiple times, and we eventually found out they did. We requested plain rice for my children, but even then, my son ended up getting sick. It’s concerning that a restaurant of this level didn’t handle dietary restrictions with more care. I hope they improve in this area moving forward.

I recently visited Chef Reza in Richmond Hill, and it was an outstanding experience! The ambiance is lively and inviting, with the added charm of live music on weekends. Their patio, known as "Paradise," is a fantastic spot to dine, especially since it’s designed for all seasons. The food was absolutely delicious. I tried their signature Chelo-Gosht and a selection of their kebabs. The meats were tender, perfectly seasoned, and grilled to perfection. The portions were generous, and the presentation was impressive. What sets Chef Reza apart is not just the food but the overall experience. The staff was attentive, and the service was quick. We recently visited Chef Reza, and while the live music and ambiance were enjoyable, the overall dining experience fell short. Upon entering, we were informed of a $10 per person live music fee, which felt like a cost that should be included in the restaurant's overhead, especially for guests primarily there for the food. We were seated quickly, but the front seating area was uncomfortably cold, leaving my wife feeling chilly throughout the meal. The appetizer, Kashk-e Bademjan, was disappointing—small in portion and made with dried fried onions instead of fresh ones. I’d rate it a 2/10. For mains, we ordered Kebab Torsh (6/10), Shishlik (5/10), and Gameje Chenjeh (5/10). While the presentation was good, all the dishes arrived cold, which was frustrating. After we finished eating, I mentioned the issue to the server. She kindly explained they could have replaced the food if we’d mentioned it earlier and offered us complimentary tea and baklava. However, only tea was brought, which felt inconsistent. In summary, Chef Reza is better suited for family gatherings with a focus on atmosphere rather than a strong culinary experience. If you're looking for authentic and flavorful Persian food, there are better options elsewhere.

Dined here few weeks ago. Server Sina was friendly, attentive and helped us take pics. Meats were juicy and flavourful but rice was a bit on dry side. Ambiance was lovely.

The food was exquisite and worth every dime. Usually with good food I find the service is lacking but with the Sina (my server) the service was also exceptional, he was always polite and quick to get the food and took his time explaining the different dishes. He also took special care for my mom to make sure the chicken was also very tender I highly recommend coming here and asking for him to be your server as well if you aren’t well versed in Persian cuisine

Delicious food and friendly service at this Persian restaurant. All the meats are seasoned well and food is presented well. We come here often as a group and we’re always happy with the food. We also sometimes come here for weekend live music events which is always great. Overall definitely recommend this restaurant.
