Lived in the area for 20 years. Never been. Will never go again. Food was terrible Definitely not authentic Italian. Slab of cheese on the veal. It was disgusting.Caprese salad…. Cold tomatoes and cheese no olive oil no balsamic glaze. Veal comes out with a tiny I mean very tiny bowl of pasta in the plate with the veal. A slab of white cheese all over the veal.Stuffed chicken that was supposed to be rolled was butchered. Out come a chicken roll but cut into many pieces. House wine was good. The kicker…. The service. Young girls were very pleasant older lady shouldn’t be a server. To boot…. They charge you tip automatically on a hand written receipt.

Casa Verde is an authentic and charming restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely, the food was top notch and well executed. Service was EXCELLENT! It was a pleasure meeting and speaking with the family who has been operating this amazing restaurant for over 30+ years. This will be my go-to restaurant in Durham now.

Finally visited and loved the food. It's a cute and small restaurant. The calamari was tender and crispy. Carbonara was rich and delicious. We also got one of the specials which was roasted red pepper ravioli in tomato and cream sauce which was also excellent. Finished it off with in house made crema caramel. Will definitely be back!

This is literally our favourite restaurant!! My husband and I celebrate all of our birthdays and anniversaries here plus more. The calamari apperizer, Italian coffee and zabaglione dessert is a must have. We have tried numerous dishes here and they have ALL been fantastic (some tops are the carbonara and lamb rack) They always have a different specials and those are always good too (the veal on bone is our fav!!!) Everyone there is super friendly. We just love everything about them!! 💜💜💜💜💜

You know that old song about the moon hitting your eye like a big pizza pie? I think I finally understand what ol' Deano was talking about cause by the time I left casa verde, I certainly was in amorè. The best Italian food in Ajax bar none. The veal scaloppine here is out of this world, also the bruschetta *chefs kiss* If you have a date you want to impress, this is where you wanna go. Especially when the patio is open!

A hidden gem in Old Pickering Village is Casa Verde Ristorante. Family owned and run business shows their love in everything they do. Went with a large group to celebrate a birthday. Oh the warm bread! Food was excellent. Shared appetizers, which were large enough for more than two people. Everyone enjoyed dipping the fresh bread into the broth from the mussels. All of the scrumptious mains were brought out at the same time. Nothing was left over. Somehow we managed to save room for some of the best desserts we have ever had. The creme caramel was so silky. The tiramisu was a great balance of espresso and mascarpone. Truly was a 'pick me up'. Grazie to the Chef(s), Joanne, their girls and the rest of the staff. You made our dinner memorable.

Love this place! Love the fact it’s family run! The food is always incredible. They have spectacular Calamari - one of the best in the region! Great Caesar Salad! Loved the pasta as it was all very fresh and cooked perfectly.

If you know, you know. It's easy to miss Casa Verde due to its location, but this is one of the best Italian spots in the area. It's a small, cozy, family-run restaurant. The service was superb as the waitresses were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. All the dishes I tried were excellent. I enjoyed the crab cakes special, veal parmigiana, and the creme caramel dessert. It may seem a bit pricey, but it was worth it for the quality food and overall experience. My only criticism is that I found it a bit dark inside the restaurant, but otherwise I highly recommend trying Casa Verde!
