Yunshang Rice Noodle(Oakville)云尚米线

Was busy but that was a Saturday at lunch time. Got seated quickly as I was on my own. Got the city coconut over the bridge, sichaun style spicy and crispy fried pork ribs, a bowl of rice, and drink. Ordered via QR code on the table and they brought it to me under 5-10 mins even with a packed house. They explained the hotpot system and made sure I was good with all the food. The pork ribs were my favourite and I know I could eat 4 plates of that stuff. They kept filling my water as needed, all in all. I will go back as I live around the corner and I will eventually try everything on the menu. Just get there early or expect to wait as it has always been packed every time I pass by.

Oakville is a chinese food desert, so having a new authentic chinese food place is a treat. Food is delicious. They just opened and it can get very crowded so unfortunately I found the service to be a bit slow but hopefully it gets better. Had a number of noodle dishes and appetizers all were excellent. Get the fried chicken appetizer its really good.

new branch in Oakville. ordered the tomato rice noodle soup & salty popcorn chicken. the soup is quite salty, but overall is good. portion is not as big as the other Chinese cuisine. people not eating spicy food still have got a lot of choice.

Note: Take-Out / Soft-Opening / 1:00PM [Weekday] Currently only accepting Debit/Cash for their soft-opening. I placed an order as I was leaving Sheridan College (campus across) and arrived before my order was supposed to be ready. The location is very popular already with plenty of tables for customer during the busy lunch time. My take-out food was ready immediately after I paid which was great because I was running a bit on time for my lunch. Staff were friendly and the kitchen was fast in pushing out orders. I order the Enoki Mushroom / Beef Slice / Tomato Soup with Rice Noodles and it was flavorful and the soup was tangy. The beef slices were also very good and the noodles were cooked just right. They separate the noodles from the rest of the ingredients which was great! Just keep in mind that after you add the noodles in the bowl becomes very full. The container used to carry the soup is also very hot so I would recommend eating out from the smaller container that the noodles came in. Utensils are provided upon request. Portion wise, it was enough for both my lunch and dinner and the prices were affordable as well. As it is still fairly new and quite busy, I would recommend (for students) to order take out before walking over and taking it back to campus to eat. I look forward to coming back here for future lunch meals.

Update 2: Came back and tried their noodles again. It’s not soggy anymore and it’s very tasty now! Update: I’ve been here over five times now so I think this is a genuine and fair comment not like a biased one-off. I am a regular customer at their Mississauga location. However, ever since this location has opened, despite being a franchise, their noodles just taste worse than the Mississauga branch’s. I don’t know if they are trying to adjust to the demographics in Oakville, but none of their items on the menu that has the chilli sign is spicy at all. Their noodle soups are also very different in a bad way. Diluted and flavourless. And they overcook their noodles 4 out of 5 times. You are often served with soggy noodles with diluted, non-spicy soup (for the dishes with the chilli sign on). I don’t know if I will be ordering their noodle soups anymore. This is a huge disappointment. Maybe I will stick to their rices at this location. No change in tastes in rice dishes or desserts. But the noodle soups are disastrous and very disappointing. I hope they get the recipe right soon. Original comment below - 4 stars Service is really good compared to their Mississauga location. Took away 1-star because there’s always a long waitlist and the space is really packed, making the dining experience sub par (it feels more packed than the Square One food court).

This is another chain restaurant for rice noodles. The food is better than I expected. The rice noodles soup is very hot. They also serve rice, fried noodles, and many appetizers. The prices are fair, and the restaurant is new and bright. I came here on a busy Saturday, and lots of staff served.

Very good restaurant.Food was excellent and service was quick .Lots of parking space . The restaurant was a little bit crowded but it was a great experience . Would definitely go back.

Great quality food at a great price!! I had spicy pork intestines noodle and it was really good! Super authentic! When I ordered it the less spicy it was a perfect amount of spiciness if you had a low tolerance for spicy food. You can order from your phone and they serve your food super quickly even tho the place was full of people. Braised beef with the rice was also super tender, perfectly seasoned!!
