The Port House Social Bar & Kitchen

Utterly disappointing!! We got tickets to NYE which were almost 50$ each. We did expect a great ambience with DJ and dance floor, but we were so wrong. They have a upper section which is usually open but they closed it down for the night for whatever reasons and the space was not adequate around the lower level. So, for the party ticket which is 50$, we can only hang around the bar which is simply not big enough. The DJ was just terrible. He was supposed to start from 10 pm but he could not get his equipment to work at all and all we could hear were intermittent screeching which hurt our ears. We gave up around 10:45 pm and demanded a refund which they did oblige to. I mean, if you are gonna charge 50$ a ticket then atleast be competent and try to create a likeable atmosphere. I would not recommend this TERRIBLE place to anyone, atleast not for New Year parties!

The Port House Social Bar and Kitchen is a great spot for a fine dining experience with an amazing ambiance that sets the tone for a delightful evening. We connected here for a get-together and were impressed by the variety of wines and beers they offer, along with a menu full of delicious starters. We tried the truffle fries and onion rings, both of which were flavorful and served in generous portions. To complement the food, we ordered a bottle of wine that was not only delightful but also reasonably priced, making it perfect for the lovely atmosphere. While the greeting at the door was somewhat cold and didn’t feel very welcoming, our server more than made up for it with their amazing hospitality. Despite the food taking a little longer to arrive, possibly due to limited staff during the holidays, the overall service and dining experience were enjoyable. For those looking for a lively vibe, the restaurant also hosts DJ nights on weekends, adding to its appeal. Overall, The Port House Social Bar and Kitchen is a wonderful place to dine, relax, and enjoy good food and drinks. Definitely recommended!

We recently hosted a retirement party for our colleague at The Port House Social Bar & Kitchen, and it was an amazing experience! Been here multiple times while on trips visiting friends. Never disappoints. Staff are always super kind and ready to make recommendations. Drinks are well made and menu has a great variety. As a vegetarian, I am able to find many tasty options. Would definitely recommend for a date or large gathering. Atmosphere and vibe can fit everything!

We recently hosted a birthday party in their event space upstairs for around 80 people. . From the moment I first contacted them for an available date, the response time was excellent and my contact, Brian, answered all my questions. The event was last Sunday and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. The passed appetizers were outstanding and the staff that were assigned to our event were warm and friendly and very accommodating. Their timing was perfect and by the end of the party they felt like friends. I would highly recommend this space for a gathering. We were able to bring our own cake and decorations and a candy bar setup. We had a separate bar and washrooms so we were totally private. It was the best and easiest event we've ever hosted. 11 out of 10

Came here for the happy hour on a weekend around 4 pm. Place wasn't too busy, but had enough people inside and outside. We, 3 adults, were seated right away and we chose to sit outside the patio where the couches were, which had a nice vibe. The inside of the restaurant was modern with a big bar in the middle and an upstairs area for more space. We ordered everything that was at the happy hour menu. These were the calamari, nachos with beef added as extra, bruschetta, spinach dip, and the margherita pizza. We also ordered pepsis and a glass of wine. The food portions were pretty decent, the nachos were delicious, their Tortilla chips were crunchy and fresh, the dip was cheesy and flavourful, the calamari was crispy and not chewy compared to some places, the bruschetta had a healthy amount of toppings and was good, and the pizza was thin crust. The only thing that would be good is if the pizza was a more crispier since it wasn't, but it was okay, my least favourite out of everything. My top two were the nachos and calamari, and my other companions may also have their own favourite top two dishes as well. I was surprised by how much the Pepsi cost, but it was refilled every time it was finished. The server was friendly and came by to check on us. The food came out within 20 minutes, one after the other. The patio was nice, but it would be nice to have a couple more umbrellas as options to have, to shield from the hot sun.

I wanted to say a HUGE thank you to Brian and his team. We hosted a 50th birthday celebration this past weekend and the evening was a great success and a ton of fun. The team were attentive, on the ball, food was amazing and came out perfectly throughout the night. The projector/screen was a great to have for some personalized added touch and atmosphere was fantastic. Thank you to you and your team for helping to pull together a memorable evening.

The staff here is super friendly. The atmosphere is so nice on a weekend, loved the music they were playing. The food was tasty and came out good, the fish and chips was super soft. Would definitely come back for the lovely atmosphere and good drinks.
