The Keg Steakhouse + Bar - Barrie

We’ve been going to the Barrie keg for many years , especially on New Year’s Eve as it is my wife’s birthday on the 31 st. This year we went on New Year’s Day, as we couldn’t get a reservation for New Year’s Eve. I must say we were very disappointed this visit. it was my wife’s 60th birthday celebration and it ended in disaster. The food was subpar, they made multiple mistakes on the orders ,and we had multiple managers coming over to apologize and interrupt our dinner. I was so frustrated that I asked the last manager that came over to please stop and we will discuss it later as I just wanted to eat my cold dinner and not send back another dinner, and try to have a family dinner together. These restaurants think they just comp a dinner for free and have no other repercussions, as far as I’m concerned, sending a dinner back and getting a new one does not fix the situation as people sit there and eat while other people cannot. I understand mistakes happen and we are all human, but this evening was a total disaster. We ended up leaving the restaurant all pissed off at each other because I was trying to stand up for us and my family, unfortunately like true Canadians they didn’t want to cause a fuss. I personally will not be going back to this keg ever again and I’m very disappointed in this restaurant. for $700 I could go to multiple other restaurants in Barrie and receive way better food and service. I had two $100 gift cards from the keg left over upon leaving and I literally gave them away when I left the restaurant because I would not need them any further. One thing I would recommend is the Manager’s not rushing over every time there’s an issue and interrupting your dinner. They should just leave it up to the server and worry about it later after dinner is over.maybe that’s something they could revisit as it’s not the managers fault ,they’re just doing as they are instructed to by ownership.

Disappointing Experience at The Keg in Barrie We've been to The Keg in Barrie multiple times, but our latest visit fell short. The service was subpar, with our waitress seeming unenthusiastic. Unfortunately, the food didn't fare better. My 8oz medium-rare steak was overcooked, underwhelming in size, and lacked the usual tenderness. The baked potato was excessively dry, even with sour cream. My husband's rice was cold and flavorless. For $180, we expected far better quality and service. Sadly, this experience has led us to decide not to return to this location.

Early Sat dinner in Barrie after escaping Costco! Order 14oz prime rib, mushroom neptune and lobster bisque. All were very good. Neptune was excellent. Bique was also v good but would ask for bread crumbs on the side as there were too many inside. Prime rib was excellent, keg horseradish was smoking hot as i hoped for. Service was fantastic. Cant find the receipt to find her name. Young lady with cool glasses, dark hair. On the right side once inside, booth. She was excellent. Sorry i cant point her out for the resto.

I’ve been to some pretty amazing restaurants before…. Where the service wasn’t as great as it was tonight. The food, very delicious, excellent. And I have nothing to pick or grime at. Debbie, our server was absolutely amazing! She goes above and beyond and both my fiancée and I will be back. Cheers to Debbie, thank you so much for the amazing experience. -DL

Fantastic food and the waitress was also amazing and attentive. The only negative was being seated next to screaming kids and babies. The waitress comp’d our dessert after finding out it was our anniversary which was a nice surprise. I am a frequent visitor to The Keg and this location always surpasses my expectations with service and food quality.

We celebrated our anniversary here, and not only was the food incredible, but Heidi, our server, made the experience even more special. She went above and beyond with her amazing service, and the sweet note she left on our receipt truly made our night unforgettable. Thank you, Heidi!

What can I say that most don't already know when it comes to the Keg. It was superb. The Barrie location is a top notch establishment in every respect. Our server was Heather, and she was exceptional. Had fantastic rapport with us, and exceptional suggestions for drinks and food. Our whole evening was a great experience that was exemplified by Heather's professionalism and witt. The food and desserts, along with the specialty coffee's were as delicious as always. You cannot go wrong with the Keg. Ask for Heather a whiskey sour, and get ready to have a fantastic culinary experience

One of the best steak houses I have ever been! The staff is super friendly and warm. They do their best to offer the best service they can! The foods are so fresh, tasty and deicious! The steaks … number 1!
