Usually I'm there to get some sashimi grade fish. However they do have dine in which is pretty decent. Lots of customization and they are able to cut fish for you after purchasing from the shop area. If you choose to eat in the do have a section to order food there as well. Something to note is tea is an additional 2$. Fish is fresh as heck, it is slightly on the pricey side but well worth the money imo for tasty sushi ^^

2024 November 4★ Restaurant itself is nice. Fresh fish. Flavors are pretty good. Sushi Set(Dine in) $35 Decent assortment of fish. Though would've liked the hand roll to be wrapped already as oppressed to having to unwrap it. Salad was nice and tart and tangy. Premium Nigiri Set $45 Torched salmon mini rice bowl was very good. Smoky tender flavors. Hot Green Tea $2 A bit expensive for a mediocre tea bag. 2023 May 4.5★ Original location on Sheppard. Second location at Major Mackenzie. Third here on Woodbine. This location is the biggest. Nice and modern with a supermarket and dining area (soon to open) concept. Sushi itself is fresh. If your looking for authentic Japanese, this is a great option. 皆さん日本人です. Parking free. Would come back.

We ordered chirashi and sushi set. The sashimi was very fresh. The amount was copious for the price. The chirashi’s price was a steal for the quality and amount of fish. Came with miso soup and a small salad as appetizer. Green tea is normally extra but they didn’t charge us. We had too wait a bit long (too many customers, kitchen too busy).

Super fresh and I love that you can pick your own pieces to be prepared. Dine in service is pretty slow though so you’re better off getting takeout. Rolls are kinda mediocre - loosely rolled and nothing spectacular. Takeout prices for rolls and chirashi is also cheaper than dine in. Sashimi is delicious, affordable and fresh and what I come for.

Probably my fave spot for sushi and sashimi in the city. The fish is so fresh and I finally get to enjoy them with a few locations being available now so that the congested Leslie and sheppard location isn’t the only option Love this large location. It has a seating area, and place to watch all the sushi masters at work, a little marketplace and the fridges with your choice of seafood I opted for the dine in option and it was create your own sashimi platter. I went to the fridge and chose salmon, tuna, hotate and ordered a set of prawns as well I love my salmon, but the prawns were just excellent. So nice and juicy Service was great. Waitress was super helpful and got me everything I needed. Parking is also better than the Leslie and sheppard location as they have ample amount of spots in this plaza / office building Definitely recommend visiting a taro’s fish location if you haven’t yet

Really enjoyed the experience of selecting your own fish for the temaki set. My Partner is on a low carb diet so we enjoyed the option of sharing one serving of rice. The add ons (ie seaweed, avocado, cucumber, etc) can add up but it is worth it! We enjoyed our meal and experience! The pantry store and fish selection to bring home is always full of variety and freshness. You can also get sake and beer there too. Love that Taros has expanded.

We ordered a sushi platter, and also chose the diy hand rolls where we can choose our own fish from the market. It was a super fun experience to build our own hand rolls. All the fish was also very great quality, service was very attentive and the restaurant area is very spacious as well.

Came here for a weekday lunch around 1pm - many of the tables were full (there isn’t a ton of seating) but turnover is quick. Most people are here for takeout. We selected our own saku (fillets) from the store and they sliced and plated it for us at no additional charge. We also ordered one of the sushi sets. The fish was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. Prices were reasonable for the quality. Friendly service and ambiance is comfortable and clean. In addition to fresh fish and other prepared foods, the store has a good selection of other Japanese food products and drinks. Will definitely return!
