Pho Surpryz Asian Cuisine

We discovered this wonderful establishment while shopping in Whitby. The owner, Jenny, was very welcoming and made sure to check in on us throughout our visit. The food was fresh and delicious, and they had the best hot sauce I’ve ever tasted. Jenny kindly packed some for me to take home! We will definitely be returning customers. Thank you, Jenny and the team!

The best in Oshawa! They have our favourite Pho and Pad Thai. Prices and portions are fair and the staff are wonderful. The owner is very kind and always helping around the kitchen and dining room. There's something for everyone on their menu.

We found our new favourite Vietnamese restaurant in Durham. The food here is so flavourful. We tried the mango salad, crispy tofu, chicken and beef cold rolls, crispy shrimp triangles, surprise beef pho and the vermicelli pork. All of the meats had a unique flavour. The owner Jenny was very welcoming and accommodated our big group with kids. The service was amazing and we’ll definitely be returning for more food next time.

Mix reviews with this place… although food was very good, light, flavourful, and authentic. The dressing had a very strange smell to it, once you get past the smell it taste great. I got the vermicelli with chicken and pork. My experience wasn’t the best, they were training a new hire at the same time as having a food inspection! I waited at the front for over 10 minutes to pay. But it wasn’t that that through me off… I distinctly heard the owner say to the inspector “thanks for giving us another chance” I didn’t like that. Also the girl ran out to grab soap since there was none in the kitchens handwashing station! Yikes! Lastly, they grab ice from a small lunch pack cooler, the lady scooped the ice and then proceeded to put the whole handle that she touched, into the ice… lots of red flags with this place. Which is a shame since the food is actually very good.

We used to be regulars at their old location and were so excited when the place we picked for lunch was the same owner! Food was delicious, served piping hot, and even made one of our picky eaters happy. The service is fantastic and Jenny always makes sure you get what you need. We don’t live in the area anymore but will definitely be back next time we’re in town.

I waited for God knows how long for opening day- just wanted to try something different out. I was NOT disappointed! It was EXCELLENT! I had the Tango Mango Chicken, it was a little spicy but so good I would have it again! The service was also fast and super friendly!

We tried this place for lunch and were quite happy with the food. The server was very friendly. The food came pretty quick and was hot of the wok. I loved the juicy lemongrass chicken and the pho broth. The pork spring rolls were decent. The prices were fair in the current market. Definitely would order again.
