Olde Yorke Fish & Chips

Matt was a wonderful server. Kind and friendly. 2nd time here and we love the fish and chips. If youre looking for that perfect crispy fry crust with soft tender inside. This is it. The fish too was tasty, flaky, crispy crust. The tartar sauce was delicious, same with the chowder.

I've been here a few times over the years and the haddock and chips this visit was amazing! Crispy, tasty batter and the fish was nice size. The onion rings were fantastic! They were so huge and super crispy! Only disappointment was the tartar sauce which tasted strange and served in these super tiny containers. It's difficult to describe but the taste and texture didn't compliment the fish. I'm told it's made in-house but it tasted like those little takeout packets. Tartar sauce is important to me so I was surprised this was a let down. Services was good and fast but our waitress screwed up someone's order that affected mine and she almost handed me a plate with just the haddock fish without fries etc. Stood my ground and asked for full plate which made me happy. See photo! Ambiance was warm and cozy though it was crowded on a Saturday and a bit of a wait at the entrance. We were expecting a lunchtime crowd anyways. We got a nice table next to a virtual fireplace. Definitely one of the best traditional British fish n chips places in Toronto!

We finally tried out this place’s fish & chips that our son has highly recommended to us numerous times. The food tasted good! Service （Tricia was our server）was excellent! Tricia brew us fresh coffee too.

Very nice restaurant with welcoming staff. Food is really delicious and I can say best fish & chips I have ever had. The Salad was good I like larger portions and maybe better seasoned grilled chicken. The staff were always respectful and helpful. The platter was good and tasted great and the chowder was delicious.

Olde Yorke fish and chips was nice. Very old tavern vibe. Ordered the Haddock with a poutine, cod with chips and onion rings. The fish was fantastic. Fresh, generous portions and yummy! The fries were lacking. They tasted undercooked. I appreciate they are fresh cut, however were not cooked well. I was also not a big fan of their tartar sauce or their coleslaw. The onion rings are were delicious! Poutine was very good also. Prices were reasonable. Service was great!

Beautiful restaurant. Old school place since 1997 with proper old school vibe. The fish and chips is amazing. I tried Cod and it was tender and flaky. Proper condiments of malt vinegar and salt work really well.

Absolutely the best fish and chips in the city! I've been dining here for the past 20 years, and they never disappoint. Consistency is key, and they pass with flying colours. The food is all exceptional and perfectly done. Keep up the great work! A must try!! Thank you

I came here about a month ago for some delicious fish and chips. Everything was so tasty. We tried all three types of fish - halibut, cod and haddock. I actually found the Cod to be the flakiest and softest. We also tried the clam strips! A very interesting appetizer that we’ve never seen before. Service was also very good. This is such a gem of a restaurant and I can’t wait to come back!
