Marathon Cafe is renowned for their award winning Hong Kong milk tea. The milk tea is bold in flavour and has a nice creaminess. The food is simple but delicious for a Hong Kong style diner. The highlight for me is their pineapple bun with butter.

i dont usually give rating to restaurants, especially when they have over 3 stars ratings, but this time i am disappointed with their quality of food. I have ordered a Duck with Dried Tangering Peel Soup with Rice, expecting there will be rice in my soup. Turns out, it came with duck marinated in PURE SOY SAUCE?? with a plate of rice on the side. How is this a 湯飯？ IT IS LITERALLY JUST SOY SAUCE AND ONE PIECE OF DUCK LEG, not even a bit of green. JUST SOY SAUCE. I am very disappointed not just because of the taste of it, but this costs $19 for just a piece of duck and rice with a big bowl of soy sauce. No other flavours.

Very authentic Hong Kong style cafe. It's an order at the counter and find your own seat restaurant. Great HK style milk tea and pineapple bun with different combinations. We picked the satay beef and spam and egg options. Great taste, just like home town HK cooking.

This review is only for the Hong Kong milk tea. Simply the best in the city. Personally I'm not a big fan of this type of HK food so I have not tried the food here. Note that you can buy the tea to brew at home. With some Carnation milk and a good steeper, it's a convenient option.

Lemon tea and Hong Kong milk tea were tasty. Food is okay. Great service. The restaurant itself: dark, drafty, fruit flies, tables weren't wiped (went off peak hours).
