Made In Mexico Newmarket

A good pick for anyone looking for a place to eat along Historic Downtown Newmarket. Made in Mexico has that homey, rustic charm that is sure to welcome anyone who comes inside. Parking is surprisingly abundant at the back of the establishment. The lady and guy server who attended to us were both pleasant. The food preparation time was also not that long for our order of fish tacos and a holiday special. Food was scrumptious and cooked really well. I also enjoyed the soup that came with our full meal. The restaurant is larger than it seems. Downstairs where the washrooms are, there is ample room which I believe can be used for functions or whatever else. Overall, this place is a gem which I would recommend to anyone visiting downtown Newmarket.

I had an incredible dining experience here! From start to finish, everything was top-notch. Our server was not only friendly but also very attentive, offering excellent suggestions and checking in regularly to ensure we had everything we needed. It made the whole experience feel personalized and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious—definitely a 10/10! The fish tacos were packed with flavor and the steak fajitas were cooked to perfection. Both dishes were standout favorites and I would highly recommend them to anyone visiting. One of the highlights was how they celebrated birthdays—such a fun and unique touch with the entire staff singing happy birthday. It really added to the lively and positive vibe of the restaurant. The overall atmosphere was fantastic, with a great energy and ambiance that made the whole meal even more enjoyable. This place is a must-try, and I can't wait to come back for another amazing experience!

was in the area place is fully packed so decided to try. But got disappointed. Guacamole taste bland. Chicken rice bowl had a disappointing amount of chicken I got like 4 not so big slice of chicken the rest was chunk looks a lot because of so much green bell pepper. Tacos was so-so. Not in the pic but tried the mango mojito.. not impressed.

The enchiladas and churros are my go-to order (with a Margarita of course!). I come here often and find the service is hit or miss. My most recent visit, our server was extremely friendly! The food is generally quite tasty and there are plenty of different options. The kids menu price is great but as the kids get a bit older, the portions are too small for them so usually an appetizer of nachos helps!

If there were half stars I’d give 3.5 stars. Service wise, not bad. Everyone was very friendly, our server checked up on us often but not too often and we got our food pretty quickly. Same with drinks. While we waited to be seated we saw the bartender making the mojitos and they looked so refreshing so most of us got one! The fish tacos and carnitas were the tastiest. The only thing is that it’s not double shells like most other places do so our tacos ended up falling apart one bite in. The sides were ok, not my favourite. Cleanliness of restaurant - for me there’s the hole in wall places and then nice places. This space reminded me more of a pub, the in-between where booth seats would have crumbs and food on it, menus would feel a bit grimy and cutlery wouldn’t be cleaned properly. So expectations were sorta set. When I unraveled my cutlery set, which was likely put together by a person, my knife was completely covered in caked on green stuff, probably guac… that didn’t get washed off in the dishwasher. How they missed that, I’m not sure, but I returned it to the server and asked for a new set and carried on.

Food was excellent, if you're getting tacos they all seem to be good just depends on preference and toppings. I would recommend paying the dollar extra for the hard shell as my street taco (soft shell) was amazing but they all fell apart, being the messiest taco I have ever eaten. That all being said it was fantastic and very very filling. I like the atmosphere and the quality/quantity was excellent. Definitely a good place for all ages and even for birthday party's

Friendly servers, lively environment, decent food. Our server was helpful in giving some recommendations, and our food came quickly. It’s nice that there were 4 tacos (instead of the 3 you get at most places), and the prices are reasonable. Our table was a bit sticky, which is never great. Definitely more of a place where you come for the lively environment than for a nice conversation.

Loved the environment. Our server, Jordan, was extremely friendly and welcoming. The quality of the food was excellent. You can taste the flavours in each bite. The decor is fun and meaningful. We'll definitely return and recommend this location to others.
