La Vecchia Restaurant Lakeshore

First of all I truly love this Restaurant as the food is great. Last night me & my Girlfriend had dinner at the restaurant for New Year’s Eve. Considering how busy this place was it was like a well oiled machine. Let me start with the service: from the moment we walked in, the Hostess greeted us with a warm smile and took us to our table. While the table they gave us was in their heated patio it’s not what we wanted as we wanted to stay inside. Now considering it’s NYE, when I asked if we could sit inside the easiest answer from them could have been a no. Instead in a very friendly way they said no problem it would be a few minutes. I was amazed at the hospitality displayed as 3-4 people came by to our table letting us know that our table inside would only be a few minutes. The service from our waiter was ok, I’m chalking that up to he was busy. It wasn’t horrible but it wasn’t great. Food: my Girlfriend ordered the lamb shank and I had the penne vodka with sausage. Both items were absolutely delicious! We also had their homemade focaccia and it did not disappoint. The food is always great and very consistent at this restaurant. Me and my Girlfriend were celebrating our Anniversary and they brought us their homemade panda cotta. Let me tell you it was delicious. I was so impressed by how many managers were walking around to make sure everyone was enjoying their evening and meals. This is a great restaurant and will definitely go back.

I had the arancini balls, linguine seafood pasta and the lamb shank. The linguine was a bit on the saltier side but the lamb shank was a great dish. The shank was pretty big in size! I thought the arancini balls were okay though, wasn’t anything spectacular.

The atmosphere was wonderful, and the service was exceptional. The staff were so warm, welcoming, and always smiling, which made the experience truly enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious, and it turned out to be a fantastic night. The only challenge we faced was finding parking i feel it would be great if the restaurant offered dedicated parking for customers. Additionally, the noise level was a bit high, and it left me with a slight headache. That said, I highly recommend visiting; it’s a place you’ll genuinely enjoy💖

Delicious Italian food just by the lake. They have made their patio very well by adding a transparent cover to give an outdoor feel which blocks the noise and wind while keeping the natural light. Their Diavola and Gnocchi is perfect. Great portions and flavour throughout. The host gave us an excellent spot since we had our son in a stroller. The only opportunity of improvement was our server. She was quite lost and slow with everything. She made a mistake with the tea we ordered as she got the wrong tea bag. When we corrected her, she went back to get the right tea bag but we never saw her again. We asked another server to take the hot water and milk away since it had become cold. When asked for the bill, it took her ages to bring that as well. Shoutout to the chef and the kitchen staff. To the management, I suggest keeping a close eye on your servers to help improve their promptness and memory.

I visited La Vecchia for a birthday dinner with friends, and the experience was wonderful. This place tends to get quite crowded, so I highly recommend making reservations, especially on weekends. The ambiance was charming and inviting, perfect for a special occasion. The staff was attentive, friendly, and quick with their service, making sure we felt welcomed throughout the evening. As for the food – it was exceptional! Every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented. La Vecchia truly offers an elevated dining experience, making it a great choice for celebrations

We had dinner for 5 in patio, environment here is so chill and relaxing, service is excellent, the server changes plates very fast. Food is very good, highly recommend PASTA, especially the vodka sauce pasta and mushroom ruffle pasta. Meat main course is average, had pork veal and steak, I personally do not like. But I will definitely come back for pasta~

We recently visited Le Vecchia Restaurant Lakeshore in Etobicoke for lunch, eager to try their renowned dishes. We ordered the famous pesto pasta with chicken and the pear and cheese pizza. While the food was pleasant, it didn't quite live up to the high expectations set by the reviews. The pesto pasta lacked the robust flavor we were anticipating, and the pizza, although unique, could have benefited from more seasoning. Additionally, the service was notably disorganized. Our bill was mixed up with another table's, leading to a confusing and time-consuming process to rectify the situation, which included a refund and then a repayment. The staff seemed overwhelmed, which affected the overall dining experience. For improvement, the restaurant could benefit from enhancing the flavor profile of their dishes and addressing service efficiency. Better training and streamlined billing processes could greatly improve the overall dining experience.

Visiting La Vecchia restaurants was the conclusion of a beautiful weekend, and I was pretty happy with the overall experience. However, there were some moments that I believe it is important to share. But let's begin with great food: it was Amazing! Fresh & delicious, perfect spices, perfect flavor combinations. And as I like to say - beauty in simplicity. There are not that many places that serve good gnocchi- and this restaurant is one of them - their gnocchi was just perfect! Loved the arancini. Pizza's dough was super thin - and that was just what I wanted. The walnuts in a salad- what a find! It added a unique flavor to the ricotta cheese, and I wanted to applaud the chef. Now - the parking. Hmmmm... I am not sure how it works and if there are any other parking areas, but if you have a reservation and it is a beautiful day outside, you might find yourself in a situation where you must circle several times around the area to find a parking spot. It is minimal and shared between numerous restaurants in the area and the park visitors. I saw people parking on the fire truck route, and receiving (obviously) fines, but there is no other place where you can leave your car. The conclusion: if it is a nice day, come earlier to make sure you find your parking. Service and atmosphere - Sunday evening the restaurant was very busy... and it is a good sign! But, it was hard to get attention from our waiter, and when the time came to our main course - he just wasn't seen anywhere. When someone else brought our main course, the plates from salads were still on the table and we had to juggle with the new waiter. Which is fine, but not for the price they charge ( and I am not a snobby person, I just felt extremely weird to do that). Also, it gets pretty loud, so if you want to socialize and have some conversation - be ready to lean towards each other. Overall, great! I would come back but at a slower time.
