Happy to finally have a proper roti shop downtown, offering up doubles, curry, and many other west Indian favourites. Ordered via uber eats and got their Bogo doubles and a curry chicken meal with roti on the side. The flavour was good and the bara made well for the doubles, but the portion of filling was quite small and disappointing. I guess it's not terrible for a Bogo deal but I'd rather pay full price and get a proper portion. Unfortunately they forgot my curry chicken so I can't comment on that - not sure if it was the store or the driver, but the side roti for the curry was in the bag. Regrettably not a great first experience as I didn't get my full order, but as Trini I'm happy the options are available downtown and I'll definitely be ordering again to give them a full shot!

I may find the best double in Toronto! They are doing a promotion - 4.50 for 2 doubles. The baras were so fresh and piping hot! Definitely would come here just for the double. Would love to try their roti next time! Such a hidden gem in the city.

Ordered on delivery, the stew chicken tasted absolutely nasty and half of this tiny cup was filled with liquid. It cost me $25. Even if you could justify charging that much for a half pound of meat, it tastes like trash.

Kish Roti and Double on King street near Parliament is a must-try for anyone craving delicious and affordable Trinidadian cuisine. This recently renovated spot is sparkling clean and serves up some of the best doubles in the city. We sampled a variety of doubles, including goat, lamb, and jerk chicken, and each one was more flavourful than the last. The portions are generous, and the prices are incredibly reasonable, making it a fantastic value. The staff is friendly and the service is quick, so you won't be waiting long to satisfy your cravings. Trust me, one visit to Kish Roti and Double, and you'll instantly become a regular!

I grew up in Trinidad and Tobago so you can trust the authenticity of this review (Diego Martin to be precise. I know we have an ongoing debate with the people from South/past the lighthouse on doubles standards). I have to say I was very nervous going in based on the negative reviews I've seen about this place (and that deplorable picture of a doubles a saw from another commenter). Here's what I ordered and how I rate it: Boneless curry chicken roti 5/5: Can't go wrong with this one. Well seasoned, good balance of chicken to curry, flavour is correct, only critique might be that the chicken itself was a little dry in the centre, but if they start cooking it a little lower and slower it's an easy fix. Pholourie 5/5: Hard to mess up a pholourie tbh. 5/5 because they serve it correctly with a tamarind chutney but you might want to ask for extra because they serve you one small container of it with 10 pieces of pholourie. They also make it fresh to order so you might have to wait a 10 mins but it's definitely worth it. Doubles (veggie because why would you ever put meat in a doubles) 4/5: They must've changed the recipe or fired the person who made that abomination of a doubles for those poor other commenters a couple weeks ago. Thank God this was decent. Nothing mind blowing but if you have a craving for doubles it'll get the job done. Very reasonably priced for Toronto as they have a 2 for 1 special at the time of writing this review. I ordered slight pepper but it wasn't hot at all, so if you like it hot you could ask for plenty and you should survive. Main critique is that the channa itself didn't have much flavour, but the flavour it did have was going in the right direction and the sweet sauce helped it along. For reference I think Drupati's makes a 5/5 doubles, Danforth Roti shop 4/5, Randy's 3/5. Please lord don't let this place fail. I live near the distillery and the next closest Trini restaurant is Randy's quite up by Bloor-Yonge so my prayers were answered when this place opened recently. Rooting for y'all.

Pretty good doubles, especially for the Buy 1 Get 1 Free offer going on right now. $4 for 2 doubles. The doubles were fluffy and the Channa was flavorful. Could’ve used a bit more spice.

Zero stars if I could! If you claim to be from Trinidad...be from Trinidad...I've been there a few times asking to meet the chef from Trinidad and every time "oh he taught us how to cook trini style" that it not good enough...DO NOT display the trini flag and PRETEND it's trini food when Cleary it is not! HUGE INSULT! No offense to your east indian workers but please Don't insult the caribbean Trini culture by passing your food off as authentic trini, maybe take the trini flag down instead and just sell "caribbean food" SUPER DISAPPOINTED as a trini born living in Toronto! Do better!

Huge disappointment. Jerk chicken sandwich was absolutely pathetic - hamburger bun and a toonie sized chicken piece. No flavor. Jerk chicken rice and peas, no flavor, chicken was dry, lots of fat and rice was salty. Doubles were okay, but not good enough to get past 1-star review. The first few 5-star reviews must be friends and family. Don't eat here.
