The Newmarket food scene is starting to give Scarborough a run for its money, and this spot proves it! The jerk chicken here is absolutely phenomenal—perfectly seasoned and incredibly tender. I’m genuinely curious how they get it that good! The staff are equally wonderful; when they ran out of gravy, the kind gentleman whipped up a fresh batch just for me, and it was amazing. For those looking for halal options, they occasionally have them, so it’s worth calling ahead to check. If they do have halal jerk chicken, trust me—don’t miss it!

This was one of the best chicken I have ever tasted. It was extremely flavourful and tender. While the food was excellent, I think the staff there was even better. They were really friendly and helped me pick what would be great to try, even going as far as offering me a small sample to taste before I purchased. Highly recommend going here if you’re looking for jerk chicken or any other type of Jamaican food. Will definitely be coming back.

The owners are very kind and welcoming. It’s definitely more a takeout place, quite minimal in terms of sitting. The curry goat was quite flavourful, and a good portion for even two people. The jerk chicken roti was quite sizeable. Surprised it was more wet than dry, but still good nonetheless. We’ll be back!

The owner is so welcoming and kind. Always an amazing experience when I go in. Feels like I’m back home. Food is amazing I could hardly wait to eat it so please forgive my photo haha! I highly recommend!

First time coming here, tried the Wed special Jerk Chicken. I loved the flavour of the chicken, it actually reminded me of jerk pork, had a smoky type flavour. The portion was fantastic for the special. What I appreciated the most is that when I asked for oxtail gravy he said "light, medium or heavy?" That's a man after my own heart lol. I can't stand dry food so I'm always reluctant to try a new west Indian place cause some places I have been are so stingy with the gravy so I stick to 2 places I know that will pour it on in Toronto. But now I can add a 3rd to my list. Even when they brought the meal out the gravy amount wasn't to his liking so he went back. I love this! That sold me for life! Big ups to a good west Indian spot in York Region. I will be back. Fyithe specials end at 6pm.

I have been to Irie Bistro Caribbean Cuisine since opening a few years ago. I can say that the food is exceptional along with portions. The Owner Mark will personally serve customers and will get to know them by name. It’s great to see that they have grown with additional staff to serve the community, which is a testament to the quality of not only the authentic Caribbean Cuisine but service. Try the daily specials, and indulge from there.

Ordered in today and this food is DELICIOUS We ordered the jerk chicken and the jerk pork with veggies on the side as well as the Chicken Soup for my 2yr old. Needless to say the 2 yr old devoured the soup (after cutting the pieces smaller and taking out the black pepper corns) The amount of spice was perfect for what we asked for and the sauce was great. Food arrived few mins earlier than anticipated and was still hot. Will definitely order from here again!

Love Irie Bistro! Is authentic Jamaican Flavah 🤩 not spicy like most people think! Just mouth watering food. Don’t forget to get some gravy 😍 Mark the owner is helpful and welcoming. You gotta try it !
