Fred's Bar and Grill

Pretty busy on a Sunday night. The interior is typical of a sports bar. Quite loud, but we got used to it quickly, and it just felt vibrant. Service and food were both good. Decent selection of both food and drinks!

The service was the best part of my visit to this pub, since it stays open until late at night and has ciders available. The pizza was alright and I would've preferred the fries crunchier. Felt like a nice enough working class establishment, but nothing amazing.

Disappointing. People have mentioned good things about this place & their wings, so we decided to try it. Dropped to drop in on a Wednesday afternoon around 2ish & sat on the patio. Not at all busy 3 other tables occupied. Took a bit longer to get served than we thought it should cause not busy. Ordered 2 lbs of wings (Dry-meaning no sauce but sauce on the side) and onion rings. The wings came and were definitely dry. A bit overdone?? Also a few sliced carrots and celery accompanied the wings. There were maybe 6-8 They were cut so huge they could be fed to a horse.some of the celery sticks were black on the side. What? The kitchen couldn’t cut that off. Shameful and disappointing. Brought it to servers attention, was literally grabbed from my hand and 5-7 minutes later more brought to the table. Our bill came close to $50. No drinks included in that. We drank water. We will not be back. As mentioned earlier. Very disappointed.

Customer service is bad. The manager handled and stressful situation due to the server lack of skills and rude attitude. We just could be treated differently having s good night along my partner. The food was good. Never be there again as I felt totally disrespected by the server. Guys, train your staff that customers are your neighbours and all they want is to hang out in a peaceful and vibrant venue.

I had a chance to check out this hidden gem which is very close to home. Amazing food with a variety of options for vegetarians. They had a summer special menu and the apple crumble is home made with a variety of nuts and reminds me of the ones my grandmother would make. They had a Greek wrap that to die for. And their handmade spring rolls were excellent. I’ve heard amazing things about the grilled calamari and I will certainly try that next time I go. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you like a variety of casual dining foods with a relaxed vibe.

Lively neighbourhood bar with a patio. Good for drinks, food and conversation. We always seem to order the Grilled Calamari ($18) and Mussels in white wine garlic ($16.50) so I guess you can say they’re pretty good . We’ve also tried the Fried Calamari ($17) which are not the usual rings you would normally expect but nether the less pretty good, Fish Tacos ($5.25 each) and Oysters on ‘Oyster Tuesday’ (This time they had P.E.I. Lucky Limes). My sister loves the French Rose and says it’s the best Rose she’s ever had. The washrooms could do with a little maintenance.

Update: Tonight we had a margarita pizza and a Cesar salad. Both were great. It was our first time here but certainly will not be the last. Arrived after work and it was super busy. We opted to sit at the bar and ordered a garden salad, chicken quesadilla pizza and some Guinness. Food and service was amazing!
