Chrisly Cafe 華星冰室

This was their 2nd restaurant in Markham. You need to register your name and phone number on their tablet to join the line. There were 7 groups ahead of us but we waited 15 minutes only. Their meal sets were pretty good. Milk tea was creamy.

Went to this new Markham location during their soft opening stage or so, they were not ready at all, the staffs doesn't know what they are doing. We asked to place order, she said will be back with the order tablet machine, but never came back, kept on delivering food and doing other stuff, we had to ask 3 times, 2 different staffs, and then the 1st time that staff finally recognized us asking AGAIN, then ya, we finally can place order. Food was on par, milk tea and lemon tea was on par as well. Don't get the hype of the long wait, even we didn't have to wait for too long (5 mins), while others waited very long. Seating was very tight and not comfy. Overall 2 stars~

The new location restaurant remains the same excellent delicious level and the staffs are so friendly! The Cart Noodle (車仔麵), curry rice, bbq pork rice with eggs and the HK milk tea are so so so good! Really enjoy it!

HK Cafe's - looks like there's another strong competitor in town! Very classic but well made dishes, they all taste great and they have build your own soup noodle which opens up the variety offered! Their milk tea and drinks are also on point. Prices also seem very fair all things considered. I give them 9/10!

Went there for dinner and overall it was pretty tasty. Black peppercorn chicken steak and the scallion pork chop rice were both nicely cooked. HK style milk tea was excellent. Curry fish ball was so-so and not worth it not recommended.

Came here to eat on a Sunday evening. No wait time, but most seats were filled. Saw many families eating here. The food came fairly quickly. Portion sizes are generous and the food quality was good. I particularly liked their beef brisket that we ordered with the à la carte noodles -- it was very tender. The Baked Curry Sauce w/ Cheese Pork Chop was served in an aluminum take-out container which might bother some people. I didn't mind it because I couldn't finish the portion anyway, so I just asked for the lid so I could doggy bag it. Be aware that this cafe is located in a quiet plaza in a residential neighborhood, so they close early at 7pm on weekends. They are, however, located next to a highschool, so I suspect they get pretty busy at lunch time during the week.

Only had to wait maybe 5 minutes for a seat. Turn over is very quick which is what you expect for a HK Cafe. Ordered the BBQ pork, scrambled eggs on rice and the Beef, scrambled eggs on rice both with hot milk tea. Service was quick and thorough. Portions were really good. Good amount of meat and egg to rice and the sauce was really good. The milk tea is probably one of the best I've ever had. Full flavour with very light hint of floral, and creamy without becoming sickly sweet. We will definitely be going back

Although we need to wait in line for a table but the turnover was very fast we were seated within 10 mins. Ordered the cart noodle set, milk tea and toast. Food was enough to feed two of us. It came very fast and overall atmosphere was very welcoming. Will definitely come back. The milk tea was the best I had in Toronto.
