I don't normally post reviews, but it would be very hard not to post one for the Beirut Bodega. The Beirut Bodega is a unique joint serving food out the back of a closed bar/arcade. The door was locked, but Ali let us in when we rang the doorbell. Takeout only. Lights inside were off except for the glow of a pinball machine in the corner and the humming kitchen behind the old hostess podium. I picked a few things on the menu and Ali went to work. After 15 or 20 minutes he returned with the best Lebanese cuisine I have ever tasted. He passionately explained the ingredients, flavours, and his techniques to us. This was the best food experience I have ever had in the city. Highly recommended.

I tried the falafel, batata harra, hummus, baba ganoush, and muhammara, all were extremely tasty and fresh and happen to be vegan. Seriously good food. Ali is a funny guy too. Highly recommend

I’ve had to rewrite this review a few times because I’m not sure if writing something will do this meal justice. This was by far the most authentic Lebanese meal we’ve had in our lives. The chef (Ali, hopefully I’m spelling that right) puts painstaking effort into every dish. The ingredients are fresh, the flavours come through every bite, and nothing is oversalted - which I cannot say enough how much it’s appreciated in a world of oversalted Lebanese food trying to cater to the masses. We had the hummus, labneh, kibbeh, fattoush, and falafel wrap. None are to be missed - especially the fattoush and the labneh. It’s all worth the wait!! The photo doesn’t do it justice but the presentation on the take away was such a thoughtful touch. Don’t miss this!

Best spot in Toronto for grab and go / takeout Lebanese, prepared exquisitely by Chef Ali. This is home cooking like you will rarely experience. It’s hidden away inside another business, don’t miss it!

Visiting from Montreal on business, so I had never heard of a ghost kitchen. I wasn’t so sure at first! That being said, wow am I glad I went. The falafel sandwich was simply made to perfection and anyone in search for a real falafel should go to this place. Will go every time I’m in Toronto for sure, the chef is really nice and his food deserves to be known!

Legit Lebanese food!! Ali was super fun and chill. I’m usually not a big fish person but branzino was sooooo yummmm!! The muhammara was also a big surprise!! And needless to say the sandwiches were fire too. We inhaled all the food.. Looking forward to dine in!

If you want to taste REAL Lebanese food this is it. Each dish is a masterpiece, crafted with care and precision by the owner and chef himself. Truly embodies the art of Lebanese cuisine. From classic mezze platters bursting with flavor to tender grilled meats marinated to perfection, every bite is a celebration of tradition and taste. First bite I took I instantly tasted vibrant flavors of tabbouleh, hummus, and falafel, each dish has FRESH ingredients and bold spices. The atmosphere is amazing , the owner and chef made me feel extremely welcomed and appreciated. Thank you greatly for this unforgettable experience, every dish tells a story of tradition, passion, and flavor. Highly recommend.
