We visited Bar Clams for lunch, and everything was absolutely amazing, from the food to the service to the design. Their wide selection of seafood was incredibly fresh and delicious, especially the oysters and fish and chips. In addition to seafood, they offer several types of dishes from the maritime regions and unique, tasty sides such as the molasses bread rolls, which were our favourite. Everything we ordered was beautifully presented and complemented by the restaurant's stylish decor and warm, cozy ambiance. Our visit and experience were made exceptional by the outstanding service and staff, who were attentive and friendly. Overall, I highly recommend Bar Clams to anyone looking for an excellent dining experience, and we will definitely be visiting again!

Incredible restaurant and overall phenomenal experience. Jack and Scotty provided excellent service; giving us great food recommendations and a laugh or two. We were celebrating a birthday and were treated with complimentary bubbles upon arrival. We will most definitely coming back. Truly unforgettable.

A vibey city gem as one would say! This place oozes edge and charm, from its interior to its menu. My overall experience was absolutely fantastic - upon arriving, to sitting down and enjoying the meal, nothing felt short or missed the mark. My friend and I ordered a bit of everything, and our stand-out dishes were the oysters, shrimp cocktail, the crab dip and the grilled cheese. The oysters were fresh, and paired with their delicious house hot sauce, it was a home run. We also loved that the shrimp cocktail sauce had a wicked kick of horseradish, that cocktail sauce NEEDS to be packaged up and put on the shelves of grocery stores. We also really enjoyed the cocktails, they're lethal but delicious; our go to for the evening was the Sunrise! Our only small hiccup of the evening, was the overdone scallops, however, the incredible team at Bar Clams, were incredibly receptive to our feedback, and truly showed a master class at what flawless customer service means. This situation did not sway our evening, and we will most definitely be coming back for more!

The food was delicious. The vibe is super laid back and chill. The best part was the service: Monica is the best! Super personable and friendly - like we were hanging out with a friend who had great recommendations. 10/10 on everything. I will be coming back and bringing other friends along. Try the Crab Dip, the Clam Strips, and the Newfoundland Fries. Get the Hello Dolly desert and bring a friend to help you finish it.

We loved the concept / ambience. Great food and hospitality. We had to get the clams - steamed and fried - both equally delicious. The space has a great vibe— cool without trying too hard—and the service was warm and attentive from start to finish. We couldn’t stop raving about the freezer martinis—they were the perfect touch. And the Hello Dolly was so good we ordered 2. Bar Clams is definitely a new favourite for us!

Bar clams was exactly what I wanted in a Maritime diner. The mackerel BLT is the sandwich Toronto didn’t know it needed. An elevated play on a classic while remaining humble and fun. The bisque was banging, with extra crackers obviously. The fried clams had me some kind of way. Overall, this is a sleeper hit for the Matty Matheson family and Toronto culinary Goat in the making Coulson Armstrong. Had me happy as a clam and that ain’t even a pun. 5 stars.

Ok, so I did hear a lot of people complaining about the prices and how it’s an east coast diner vibe with Toronto rental market prices…but I’m here to say: Let them complain. Let them charge what they want. The service was spectacular. Wonderful staff. My water cup was always full. Plates and counter space clean. No crumbs at any time. Beautiful atmosphere. A little Santal aroma as you walk in. Ordered the corned beef hash and mackerel blt (forever ordering this from there). 11/10.

Great service, good vibes and hearty comfort food. Great place for an elevated casual dinner and very glad there’s a place in Toronto where we can get classic maritime food! Our favourite dish was the scallops, bacon and butter.
