Visited recently, but unfortunately, the food was quite underwhelming. While the menu offered a variety of options, the flavors and preparation were average at best. Not worth the hype or the price point. Also atmosphere is also not very engaging

Went to annalakshmi a week ago, tried their huge masala dosa, cheese masala dosa, paneer dosa and idli. Everything tasted really nice. Their service and ambiance is really good. The only thing i would add is the filling in dosa seems to be a little less and even the size of idlis. Otherwise I loved the food❤️

Great South Indian vibe. The food was authentic, ordered rava dosa It was crispy and flavorful, and the parota with curry was rich and satisfying. Definitely a go-to spot for anyone craving some tasty South Indian cuisine!

Disappointing experience at Annalakshmi South Indian Restaurant in Toronto. Pros: None Cons: • Rushed service: staff jumped on us for orders before we even settled • Poor service: inattentive staff • Red chutney: unacceptable quality, tasted sour like made a week ago • No free refill for chutneys, even with premium orders • Subpar Dosa: oversized chunks of hard Paneer, difficult to eat • Low-quality oil: excessive dripping, ruined Dosa's taste • Broken/misshapen cutlery • Complaint ignored: staff didn't address concerns We ordered the most expensive Dosa, expecting premium quality. Instead, we got: • Overpriced, poorly prepared food • Lackluster service Rating Breakdown: • Food Quality: 1/5 • Service: 1/5 • Ambiance: 1/5 • Value: 1/5 • Overall Experience: 1/5 Suggestions: 1. Improve staff training for attentive service. 2. Enhance quality control for condiments and main dishes. 3. Offer free chutney refills, especially with premium orders. 4. Refine Dosa preparation: balance Paneer proportions, use quality oil. 5. Replace broken de shaped cutlery/utensils. 6. Address customer complaints promptly. Until improvements are made, I wouldn't recommend Annalakshmi to others

During a weekend visit to Toronto, we were craving dosa and decided to stop by Analaxmi Dosa Restaurant. The location is easy to find, and the restaurant itself is spacious and welcoming. The interior was beautifully designed, and the pleasant music playing in the background made for a great atmosphere while dining. The whole experience was amazing. We ordered a variety of dishes, including idli sambhar, masoor dosa, and paneer dosa. Everything was incredibly tasty, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor. They were also generous with the sambhar, offering us extra without hesitation. The warm hospitality made us feel right at home, and the staff’s kindness added to the wonderful experience. Highly recommend this place if you’re in Toronto and looking for authentic, delicious South Indian food!

I recently visited Anna Lakshmi Dosa Place with a group of eight friends, and we were all impressed with the quality of the food. The dosas were particularly amazing, with a delightful blend of flavors that left us wanting more. The variety of dishes was also commendable, each one prepared to perfection. However, the drinks did not meet our expectations. Despite this, the exceptional food more than made up for it. Overall, Anna Lakshmi Dosa Place is a great spot for a delicious meal, especially if you’re a fan of dosas.

Visited Annalakshmi in Toronto for the first time with my family to try their South Indian food. We arrived around 3 pm and the restaurant was fully packed. We were asked to wait for 20 mins and we got a table within that time. The restaurant ambience was fine but can be improved. We ordered Sambar Vada, Masala Dosa, Tomato Onion Uttapam, Paper Masala Dosa & Rava Kesari (Dessert). The Sambar Vada came first. The Sambar was piping hot but the Vada was very soggy as if it was dipped in the hot Sambar for a longer time. It did not taste like a Vada but more like a dissolved Idly. The crispness of the Vada was missing. Moreover, the Sambar was full of drumsticks that was a bit annoying as they had to be removed one after the other. The Masala Dosa was crispy and tasted delicious. Sambar was very hot which was good and it also had an authentic taste. Loved the Sambar. The potato masala stuffing was okay but a bit spicy. The coconut chutney tasted good as well. The tomato chutney was okay but could have been better. The green Mint Cilantro chutney wasn’t good and had a watery texture. The quantity of all the chutneys was a bit less. The Tomato Onion Uttapam was hot, crispy and delicious. The Paper Masala Dosa was pretty good as it was very crispy. However, I noticed that the potato masala stuffing was less for the dosa. Everything else was the same. Finally, the Rava Kesari arrived after a while. It tasted okay but I’ve had it much better at some of the other South Indian restaurants in GTA. Service was okay and prices of the dishes are reasonable. Overall, the experience was nice and we would definitely come back to try their other dishes the next time.
